Default Is the "filler" a filter?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but a couldn't find an answer. I'm going to just start dripping I'm sick of the burnt poly, I have 510's with sealed batteries. Well here is my question... is the filler just for wicking or does it actually work as a filter just as it does on a analog. I've read that we are only inhaling a small amount of the nic is this because of the filler?

The filler is just for wicking. I found this out today after dismantling a cart

I'm very new to all of this, but the filler definitely isn't a filter, at least not in the analog sense of the word. Anything you put into the cartridges that gets vaporized by the atomizer will go directly from the atomizer to your mouth via the two little slits in the cartridge. The reading about how much nic we inhale is do to inquiries about how much the body actually absorbs from the vapor, not because of the filler.

    Hope that helps!
