From what I hear, everything they sell is complete crap. If they're gone, maybe that's good that'll save people the hassle of buying bad products.

either their web developer messed up their dns settings or they got hacked to some extent. you can also get in using e-liq.com which just directs to https://www.ecig.com/shopping/shopcontent.asp?type=Home
https: is a secure connection while http: sites can be monitored by outside parties. payment gateways should always be https: otherwise, your details can get snatched. dont know why their whole site has to be https though now.

AH.... e-cig. what can i say. i finally got an answer from them because i threatened legal action. sad that i had to do that. then i got another answer telling me that they didnt have the parts yet. they only answered me then because i asked them to cancel the order and refund the money. its 'only' been 4 weeks for me. They didnt delay in taking the money out of my account though surprise surprise.
I think a blacklist is a great idea and yes they should be first on it followed closely by Loongtotem.
I think the best thing is to steer clear of the asian companies as they have no concept of customer service. Its only the American and hopefully soon Australian companies that I will deal with from now on. Oh and UK depending on the prices.
the only problem with the American co's is that I am paying $50au for postage which i think is a bit of a scam but at least you get what you want when you want it so not too stressed.

Kathy - you're paying way too much at $50AU postage. If that's what it costs then there exists a fantastic business opportunity for you. In Aus you're closer to the Asian market that manufactures these things. Not all Asian companies are bad - but .......... is certainly one to avoid.

No. Their web development is fine (well, with regard to ssl - it's not done at the application layer, so they get this automatically.) Their DNS is fine. Their SSL certificates are fine.
The only thing that they need to do is have their web host redirect http requests to their checkout to https and reopen their http socket for the rest of the site.

7 weeks and nothing received yet
The same for me... I´ve been waiting for my order for 7 weeks... they harly reply to my emails and if they do, they always say that "the order will be shipped tomorrow"... I should have done the same with my Visa paiement: "I'll pay you tomorrow"... LOL
they are definetely the worst I've seen around.

there was a post on here somewhere about an agency we can send our complaints to so they are banned from conducting business in the states. anyone know remember that post?

You must mean the Better Business Bureau (www.BBB.com) ..not sure if that works with international businesses though (non-U.S.)

I use Web of Trust on my browser - Internet Security | WOT Web of Trust
It keeps track of dodgy websites, if those of you who use it rate ecig.com as untrustworthy and leave a comment it might help others from being ripped off.
