Ok, so heres a weird one I need to see if its happened to anyone else. I was blissfully vaping on a 801 whistle cart while reading posts, took a monster pull and inhaled a good rush of air to enhance the flavor at the end of the draw, and GAG! Immediately felt something solid in my throat and hacked it up quicker than I could think about it. After much cursing and overall feelings of disbelief, I took a look at what I just coughed up. From what I can tell, its like hardened silicone or something. It looks like amber silicone glue, part of it is still pliable, most of it is hard as a rock. Its small, to be sure, but anything in your throat feels gigantic, especially when you arent expecting it. Dissecting the cart I dont even know why there would be glue in there, but this definitely came from the cart. Anyone else ever had this happen? And no, I dont work for the FDA, am not a forum troll, and want to see e-cigs replace cigarettes for everyone, just for the record. |

Oh man! There was a warning from a member with a round mouth piece that got a cart lid or something that flew down his throat. So I bought whistle tips. Now this glue thing. I haven't got my kit yet so I can't say I experienced any of this. But I'll sure be careful. Hopefully it's just a coincedence. I hope you're okay though. Best wishes. -MD |

Haha! Yeah, i saw the fallout and stoning from the person who posted a video about the end cap from a round cart, I dont want to rehash one of those posts! Nothing to be alarmed about, I assure you, was just a little gross and I cant figure out why there would be glue in a cart like that. Plus, it was a cart that I washed out and replaced with PTB, so that confuses me even more because I clean the things really well. This would have had to be glue that was down under the guts of the reservoir, that I couldnt see or reach with a paper towel. |

That's exactly what it was. 801 cartridges use a small strip of glue to hold the stuffing in the inner cartridge. When you pulled the stuffing out the glue must have stayed in there and eventually worked loose. Except it would have had to get down into the atomizer chamber and then sucked back up through the sides of the cartridge since there is no direct opening from the back of the inner cartridge to the whole in the tip. This isn't something that will happen normally unless there is some kind of mod done. Here's what the glue looks like still stuck to the stuffing. |

yeah when I read this I thought of that little white glob of glue to hold the stuffing in, not sure how it can make it to your mouth though lol

I have a metal mesh filter in my mouthpiece to make sure nothing solid gets through...I often find tiny black pieces of gunk trapped in it. Never any glue though but then I use teabags instead of the original polyester.

do you direct inhale into your lungs? I can't see this happening if you draw into your mouth first , than inhale..you would've felt it on your tongue.
