Default Summer E-cig time is gone, Winter Analog time has come.

Well, it's been a real fun time with e-cigs over the passed few months. But the truth is, I only picked up an e-cig to smoke over the hot and humid summer months, since smoking traditional cigarettes in that weather is totally revolting.

I started with a couple 901's, moved over to a Janty Kissbox Classic, and since then I've been pondering the purchase of a Screwdriver, a GG, or a Prodigy.

Tasted all the flavors from the Johnson Creek sample pack. Bought a bunch of juice from Janty and Totally Wicked. All very delicious... especially the Hawaiian Kona Coffee from JC.

E-Cigs were fantastic. I stopped smoking cigarettes completely within the first day of vaping my 901. I went 5 months strong, only having a traditional cigarette when I was drinking on the occasional weekend, but never buying a pack.

But something happened today. I was on my way to work, and I realized that it was cold enough for me to get my jacket. As I got out of my car and started to walk through the parking lot towards the front door of place of work, I realized that the humidity was gone, and I started to crave a cigarette.

I have spent the past 24 hours researching rolling tobacco, papers, filters, filtered tubes and injectors, even humidifiers... so many things to think about. I have decided to put down the e-cig for the winter months, and return to my friend, smokable tobacco

So I figure that since most of us here went from analogs to e-cigs, I might be in the right place to ask a few questions, or a guiding hand as to where I may be able to find the information that I am looking for.

I want to maintain my additive free tobacco use that I stuck to with my faithful Nat Sherman MCD's, but turn that into a roll your own sorta thing. I just recently learned how to use one of those little Zig Zag hand rollers, and they seem to work really well. I want flavored additive free tobacco, i want filters, and I want great rolling papers. I want to delve into the world of injectors and hand rollers and electronic cigarette machines and figure out what my best options are.

So far I have found "ryorevolution" which seems to be a forum for ryo enthusiasts, and i came across rollyourown.com. What I am really looking for at this point is a site exactly like e-cig-forum, but for traditional cigarettes, an analog forum.

So thank you all for your reviews, your contributions, your efforts and research to help the e-cig proliferate, but it is time for me to go on a winter vacation and enjoy the warmth of a cigarette as I ski down some mountains in the coming months.

If anyone can point me in the right direction as to where I may find a forum dedicated to rolling tobacco and all the accessories needed, a forum very similar to this with the "e-" at the beginning of the name, I would be much obliged.

Thank you all so much for being there as a community to show me that I had the power to put down a cigarette the first day that I chose to, and the alternative to keep me happy and healthy.

    I'll see ya'll next summer!

Sorry, can't help you out on that but I'm curious. If anything, I would be the opposite. Like you, I live in a cold weather state. I really am looking forward to not having to go outside this winter. I still go outside and and have "smoke" with my friends now, but in the winter, yea, I probably will, but just not as often. Just wondering.
I'll take my nicotine without the carcinogens, thank you very much.

I'm completely lost too actually. Living in a cold weather state, it makes no sense to me. I am so thankful for not having to go outside and smoke in 30 below zero weather.

You're going from a healthier and tastier option back to cigarettes? I don't see how after 4 months of vaping (and enjoyable vaping by your description) you could go back to cigarettes?

Going back to not being able to partake indoors in public places.
Going back to that nasty smell on you, your clothes, in your hair
Going back to yellowing your teeth
Going back totobacco-only limitations in flavor
Going back to all of the harmful side effects of smoking

I wish you the best, but I cannot wrap my mind around it. Maybe if e-cigs didn't satisfy the cigarette cravings, or whatever... I could get that, but to say you enjoyed vaping, I can't understand it.

The lure of tobacco is strong. How he justifies going back to tobacco is a telling sign as to the power of tobacco. See, everybody pat yourself on the back if you haven't regressed back to tobacco, it's quite an achievement! Reading his post has made me more resolved to never smoke again....thank you.

All seems crazy and backward to me right down to the reason for picking up e-cigs in the first place. I hated smoking cigs in the winter outside. They tasted like crap to me. Summer was always way better. And the rest? I can't figure it, but to each their own.

Man, after the changes I just went through I can't imagine going back to cigarettes. Trying all kinds of different juices now and enjoying it. Just feeling better though made this worth it. 13 days and counting.

Hey, you live right next door! Well, kind of; CT is RI's next door at least :P. I can definitely understand what you mean about the humidity and boy was it an intense summer in these parts.

I am rather curious about switching back to analogs though during the colder months - genuine curiosity, not that snide holier-than-thou sort of curiosity. What is it about these months? I just started so I can't say much really, but one of the things I'm looking forward to is not having to stand outside in the snow, though I do love the cold weather. Or the rain that mocks us during the winter months. You know the kind, the kind that by all rights should be snow, but noooo, it has to rain instead.

To each their own indeed! I never got into rolling my own tobacco so I can't really give any advice on that, but surely there's bound to be a forum somewhere on the internet dedicated to it.
