I use the TW 36mg fluid and I've learnt to not use it excessively. Its very potent stuff. But my experience is the effects pass pretty quickly. I guess its possible that it has triggered a severe migraine. Many years ago I had something similar following taking something else... I had a week of severe migraines and hot and cold flushes, just agony basically.

But I agree with the others, see a doctor, and tell them what you've been using. If nothing else they should be able to prescribe some more effective painkillers than you can get over the counter.

high strength liquid should be for the hardened nicotine addict.. the bottom line being the entire e smoking thing should be treated with caution..

but where do we start.. do we assume the same user knowledge as with alcohol.. do we assume the user might know it aint good to tank down a full bottle of vodka in one go or do we assume he dosnt..

i personally dont think jimmies case is nicotine related.. it is more likely to be a bad reaction to the medium that carries the nicotine.. but as yet we dont know... it could simply be pure coincidence.. people get ill without smoking e cigs..

a visit the doctor might be wise.. the bottom line being u might be suffering from anything..

get better soon jimmy and be careful..

I had severe migraines for quite a time. They were caused by dangerously high blood pressure. Nicotine can increase BP, and cigarettes usually worsen every headache. I would at least check my BP and pulse if I were you - and would not touch cigs before the pain stops.

But don't be stupid... see a doctor. The last thing e-smoking needs is a related death.[/quote]

Dude, with all due respect, that comment was a touch insensitive dont you think?? Having said that, I did take on board what you said and got myself to A&E, I have overdosed on nicotine and it is not pretty, very strong painkillers and rest up for a few days and hopefully I will be ok then. The last thing I want to do now or for the forseeable future is smoke an e-cigarette, maybe I will see sense now in giving up altogether.

So, what's the moral of the story?? Well I think it is important going forward to add a sense of caution to the overall tone of information passed onto new members, I am happy to admit that I was a little reckless in what I was doing but I am not a complete idiot either.

This board has a lot going for it and we dont want this happening again!

    thanks

    Jimmy

I'm glad you got professional medical help, it was sounding pretty serious.

Take care of yourself and if you do smoke again consider using your ecig with lower or zero nic juice. It's a good substitute for smoking but we're all still pretty much uneducated about nicotine potency.

I won't be surprised if 36mg juice kills someone one day, it's twice as potent as juice usually rated as 'high'.

Jimmy, that sucks. I hope you feel better ASAP. I was wondering how they determined that you OD'd on NIC? Was there some kind of test or did they just look at symptoms? Also wondering what the treatment, if any, would be in a severe case. I'm guessing they can only treat the symptoms.

    Get well soon!
Not smoking anymore. Loving my swedish snus:D

Seconded! All the best for a swift recovery. You're sure that you haven't stopped drinking coffee or something? Now that WILL give you a headache!

..nah, it was definitely 'nicotine poisoning', they didnt do much excpet take my blood pressure and a few other things, and listen to my story, I can still taste the stuff in my mouth, just horrible, I really cant see myself going back to it, some lucky punter on this forum might have himself a near new screwdriver and a few other bits and pieces for a very good price, we'll see how it goes!!
