    One of the 8 pin AVRs would do quite nicely I would think. Drive a transistor switch rated for the load and you should be in Fat City (Just outside of Metarie :-).

    Should probably see what is available in reasonably small SMTs that will handle that kind of load.

    the voltage drop with transistors is kinda nasty when you only have about 3-1/2 volts to begin with, you might like to use a low drop mosfet instead
