Using an atomizer to get the top out of a 901 battery is very easy and then you can have at the entire guts of the thing without destroying the pressure switch - The pressure switch WILL NOT hold up to the higher current draw of say my magnum mod or a USB mod. Amperage goes up to around 1.34 amps - I am currently working on a PWM controller that will rock when I get the Voltage compensation circuit worked out and YEAH it WILL be free for all.

One of the 8 pin AVRs would do quite nicely I would think. Drive a transistor switch rated for the load and you should be in Fat City (Just outside of Metarie :-).

Should probably see what is available in reasonably small SMTs that will handle that kind of load.

the voltage drop with transistors is kinda nasty when you only have about 3-1/2 volts to begin with, you might like to use a low drop mosfet instead
