Neither parent smoked, but my Granny shore would walk a mile for a Camel.
Oh yes they did
Oh no they didn't

Neither of my parents smoked, but I remember being with my aunt as a child watching her chain smoke Marlboro Lights throughout the day (2 or more packs a day!). Unfortunately, she passed away when she was in her early 40's.
neither smoked - guess my sister & I enjoyed being rebels! and it was cool to do as teenagers..
My dad said he smoked when he was young, but he quit long before I ever came along. Smoking was rarely a subject in my house, but when it was, it wasn't discussed in a positive light.
I remember back when people were still allowed to smoke in a mall near my house. I remember hearing other people complaining about the smell, but I always really liked it. I started smoking in college, during a summer away in another state. Me and a new friend of mine there went on a little weekend road trip and decided we were going to smoke while doing it.
I dunno... I guess being in a new place with new people for the first time in my adult life left me in the mood to try new things.
My folks didn't smoke, but most of my relatives from my father's side do/did.
