if sellers are buying it by the litre and then putting into bottles themselves, there might be room to move down in price. but if they are buying it pre-bottled, there is probably as much profit in it for them as the hardware which is not as high as they would like it to be due to competition.

a big problem for sellers is that they cannot "lock-in" a consumer to their products as any liquid can be used with any device. this of course is great for the consumer. if they could lock-in consumers i think the liquid or cartridges would be much higher and they would give the devices away. but this is not a possibility with the current set.

it is a tactic that could have worked for loong totem and their no longer unique cartridge system but unfortunately for them, they had more greed than sense and have now sullied their reputation indefinitely. they had the opportunity to earn themselves a base of brand-loyal customers and a large percentage of the market before any clones wars started but maybe brand-loyalty is unknown to chinese manufacturers.

perhaps as pillbox mentioned when EU measures limit how and what e-liquid can be sold in 2009, we will see the price rise further. tests and child proof containers will have to be paid for and dont bet on the chinese to foot the bill. any reduction in their current profit margin will be made up by substituting cheaper components and ingredients. and as we have seen before, that's when things get ugly.

yeah sanj, that vid is hilarious. what an over complicated piece of crap. still i would love to have one in the back of the attic for future auctioneering.

we are being ripped off in the UK,no matter how you slice it...

its got nothing to do with sterling tanking against the dollar...it was like this before that happened...its simply got everything to do with greed...

we're addicted...we're dependent on just a few suppliers in the UK...therefore they can charge well over the odds for what they sell...

and we mugs happily shell out the cash with hardly a complaint...even though we know its half the price or less in the USA for eliquid from the same sources...its ridiculous...

im curious to see what pillbox will be charging for Totally Wicked in America...maybe over there itll be rebranded as Totally Overpriced...

Mr Darcy, you have obviously never run a company and your business sense comes from a junior school economics book.

You try selling fluid at less than i do, of a similar quality, go fork out £8k for tests, 16% duty, 17.5% Vat. Office and storage costs, staff costs, Web site costs, designer fees.

You get on my nerves, slating every supplier bar your buddy mr ecig and his juice...

I really could not care less if users like you want to use liquid Sh>te in their cigarettes...

Another point if its so cheap to get , and so profitable how comes Darcy you havent started liberating users yourself with a quality 30ml bottle at £5.99?

Let me tell you why....Try investing thousands of pounds in 6 strengths x 20 flavours...You think they all move of the shelf like quick silver???Think again.

Go invest your money in a product that has the potential to be banned at anytime....Would you do?? I doubt it because the whiners of are just that..

I dont mind debate, but slating me and my prices gets my back up, post on realities not your fantasies..

My advice to you is ....If its so Damn easy to make 400% per bottle as your suggesting, prove me wrong and sell it to hard doneby consumers yourself at the ridiculously low price you suggest. I can buy fluid in awful plastic bottles, that is riddled with chemicals you would not feed you dog with for $3 per bottle, not label it, not test it, not package it, not comply with any Uk trading legislation for £8 per bottle and make 100%.

I choose not to do it. So be careful who you slag off, and be careful you know what you piping on about before you do.

SANJP - Aren't you the chap who was selling a £16 Deal Extreme cigar for £30? When you were picked up on it I believe your response was:

"£30 is peanuts for this ! I spend more than £30 on Lunch Sometimes !!"

How come you can mark up your stuff but these guys can't?

yeah, well sorry pillbox, but this is a public forum, not a site for you to advertise your wares, and attack anyone who dares criticize you...and i know more about this business and business in general than you realize obviously,so dont ever take me for a fool mate...

whatever your ambitions, its your customers who are paying for it,so have a little more respect...its not our fault or decision youve invested money in this,so spare me the bleeding heart bit...you anticipate a healthy profit or you wouldnt be doing it...

and i was referring to all liquid sellers, not just you...the totally wicked reference was in relation to UK versus USA pricing,as its the most expensive in the UK...it really was just about how USA companies charge half the price of UK ones for liquid...which is a fact...

and by the way, what suppliers have i slated?
ive recommended you since day 1 to many many people, and always said you were a good supplier...nice to see you appreciate it...sometimes its ugly when people show their true colours...
