    Default Hacksaw meets the Screwdriver

Okay so when I did this video http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...echanical.html I said that the SD had some sort of thing built into it that would prevent the battery from exploding in case of a faulty battery (info that was given to me by trog himself). So um well I decided to find it, I was looking for some sort of PCB protection circuit. I took a hacksaw to the SD and well here are the results.

Okay now I'm not a technical person but from what I see its just a spring glued to a green board, and there's a hole. I'm posting the thread in the general area because I know trog can post here, and I'm sure he could explain what I'm looking at to me better then I can since all I pretty much know is battery+atomizer+juice=vaping

P.S. Could we please not argue about which mod is the best and which one sucks in here, I'm just trying to learn something new

I think it safe to say you have killed the SD if nothing else ha-ha!

Looks to me just like a part of the torch it was made from? But like you I am no expert, so will have to wait and see?

But as far as I am aware the only protection the SD has, is that the spring will melt if something goes wrong with a shorted battery or similar as this is the weakest part?

No one is going to argue which mod is the best, I am guessing people are just curious how you can throw money away like that, you could have easily sold that on the forum....

That's what I was thinking... Same thing I was thinking when I saw those videos of people smashing the Wii and PS3's right outside the store! Oh well, to each his own, and I guess I'm really no better. I love taking things apart to learn how they work; but generally I am able to put them back together in working condition.

I pretty much agree with everyone else here. What a waste of $150!

    Crash,

    What did you vape?

Almost every battery mode protected buy battery itself when used with PROTECTED BATTERIES!

You can find all batteries in PROTECTED version except 10440 which is to small to jam in a protected circuit, that's why Janty Stick has a battery and a battery protection circuit board.

Surprised? Now you know it at your own expense.

    What a waist!!!
