Hand Rolling Tobacco Nic content ?.

Ok the question.

Who knows roughly how much nicotine in a half an oz Tobacco.

I am trying to work it out for a friend but as I dont use rolling tobacco have not got a clue.

I can't help you with weight but per roll up it's reckoned to vary between 1-1.4mg per cig with 1.2 being an average. This was what I read about Golden Virginia tobacco anyway, I think it's the same for Old Holborn.

Some packs I've had (Pall Mall I think) quoted figures for "thin" and "thick" rollies. They were in the range that Kate's just posted.

How many would you get out of half an ounce? I believe I used to get just over 50 out of a 25g pack.

PS half an ounce in one evening would be pretty heavy smoking, in my opinion.

I never smoked rollups so have no clue.

Said I would meet her for coffee tomorrow with a mixture of carts and juice so she can try them.

Was trying to figure out what strength juice would be best.
I have 14mg 18mg 24mg Juice + the prefilled carts that came with my kits.

Looking at your last reply may be I dont have to worry about any of my juice being too strong for her then.

IMO, for what it's worth , is that Amber Leaf is the Silk Cut of Rollie smoking.

I'm usually a 30-40 a day rollie smoker and I've survived all day [today] on High strength carts, well apart from the cart that fell apart.


I need more of a kick at certain times i.e. first morning 'fag', after meals etc, to get me off analogues for good, and for that i'll use juice.

I was a 50 gram a day (1oz) Old Holborn smoker. Not little thin things but big fat roll ups. I found the high carts that came with the 901 ok for the nicotine content. I never found amber leaf at all satifactory.
