In one week I went from being mostly ignorant of e-cigs, to a rabid activist. I feel so strongly about them that I didn't hesitate to give $20 to this forum. In exchange, I'm going to give my life story (well, at least the relevant parts):

I'm 39, I smoked 1-2 packs/day in highschool, gradually reducing that to nothing by the time I was 30, then started back up with a vengeance last year, up to almost a pack/day.

I was at the Big-E (big annual north-eastern state regional fair) where a vendor was demoing them. I saw them online for months, but was skeptical until I got to try it in person. As soon as I did, I fell in love with them, and impulsively bought a kit.

Even though I love it, I knew from reading message boards that it isn't the best one on the market. I found better kits (510, etc) and better juice, which I have on order and is on its way to me as I write this. My significant other will inherit my first e-cig.

Since I bought it my dirty-cig usage is dropping dramatically, and I know as soon as I get the new device and juice, I'm done with them.

Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this, from vendors, stores, web site and message board admins, and people discussing this!!

I became a supporter yesterday and paid for one year. The information I got here (lurked for about a month or so before joining) before purchasing my first e-cig was certainly worth way more than the $20.

Nope.
But nothing compares to having a voice box inserted into your neck from smoking tobacco. It's nicotine and flavoring, moist air is good for your throat. Keep reading the forums, give ecigs a try.
