I should have already started reviewing and using the product (more), but work's been hell, so I'm running behind. I plan for this to be a thread I add to over time unless it dies from becoming un-interesting. I may be too late already.

I turn 50 tommorow (Friday) and began smoking in my teens, so I may also be too late in other respects.

Per recommendations at this forum, I ordered my EVO's from the UK even though I live in the US. I ordered them on the 11th and they arrived on the 22nd or 23rd. No complaints there.

The order consisted of a starter kit, an extra battery, plus 25 medium cartridges. I think it came out to be around $70.00 (US) with shipping. Not bad considering the cost of what I believe what are called analogs (conventional cigs) in this forum.

My only problem with the shipment are the little cards with the instructions. I could not have read that tiny text when I was 30, let alone now when I'm wearing +2.25 reading glasses. If there's an online link to the same information, please share it. I know; I should go searching at the site... wait, no I shouldn't. Perhaps Intellicig should use a font pitch we all can read and fold it for shipping.

Upon delivery, I noted that one cig was fully-assembled and blinking at me, so absent education, I took some drags from it. I was kind of impressed... it seemed to take a few serious sucks on the "filter" to get things going (I wanna meet the woman who's an expert with these things), but I was ultimately feeling nicotine hits and seeing vapor.

My extra catridges are "medium", but the ones on the units shipped are "high" and I think I was getting more nicotine than I'm used to. A headache seemed to result, but I wasn't being attentive to my intake. Nevertheless, it took the place of several analogs that afternoon so I missed a lot of tar, etc.

I've mostly put my EVO's away since then because I need info I can actually read. I want to know things like how to know when to replace the catridge & battery... and if I charge the battery via my USB port, how do I know when it's complete? I'm sure it's all in the included documentation I can't read. I'm not slamming the UK on this one... US product instructions are often similar. I'm thinking I may have a really good product here, but am hesitant to wear it out before understanding it.

Stick the batteries on charge, and when they are done, the light on the charger will turn green and/or the LED at the end of the battery will turn on (depending on what type of charger you have)

As to when the battery is dead, the LED will start flashing several times when you try to draw.

Regarding when you need to change a cartridge: the taste will change and the vapour will become weak.... it's something you will learn to recognise.

Bit of advice: get some liquid (and if you want to stick with intellicig products, go for ECOpure - which I love! - you can get it in the US from innovapor and cignot, I believe). Then you can re-fill the cartridges

One piece of essential equipment you will require is a straigtened-out paper-clip. You will need this to reveal the inner cart that holds the liquid (push the paper-clip in the hole at the end of the mouthpiece to push up inner cart). Even before you get any liquid to re-fill, you can push up the inner cart to check if the filler is dry or not.... just to confirm your suspicions until you get used to the signs.

You haven't missed too much in not being able to read the cards! From what I've seen, no e-cig really comes with 'instructions'

When I take a hit and get no vapor, I put my hand at the end of the e-cig, and draw...if I see a none flashing red light reflecting on my palm...the battery is still running.

...to whomever bumped me up to "Full Membership". I guess that means I can post in additional forums, but more importantly, we're trying to get me and others to stop smoking conventional cigarettes. And that will add years to our lives. I have an 8 year old adopted daughter I need to be around for 10 years from now. I know there's commercial sponsorship and such going on here, but on the whole, this site is providing a great service. Just ask for my PayPal account info before quoting me anywhere about a specific product I'm satisfied with.

Just a thought seadog, how about using a photocopier to enlarge your instruction card.

Stick with the EVO, they are the best e-cig I've seen / used.

Excellent idea, techno... I mostly work out of a home office and did try your idea, but it was difficult to tell because the room is so brightly lit. Obviously, I can just take a few steps into another room and make a conclusion. Thank you for your post.

Mr Diesel... I have the equipment to do that right here in my home office. I was just being ornery (sp?) due to work being so busy. Also, my wife reported she had no problems reading the same cards following the post in question. It would appear EVO's and a seeing-eye dog will solve most of my problems.
