    Default WTF part 2

I get home from work and check the mail. Awesome, my two fifty ml bottles of flu-cured are here. Just in time too, as I vaped the last drop of my flu-cured juice the night before.

So I crack open one of the bottles, put two drops on a drained atty, fill a new cart, take a freshly charged battery off the charger and screw it on and take a hit.

    Hmm.

    Take another hit.

    Hmm.

Take a nice long drag. Um, this doesn't taste like the flu-cured I had before.

So I open the other bottle. Drip on to the atty. Take a hit.

    Hmm.

I compare the new bottles with the empty. Same bottle, same label, same strength, ordered from the same site, but NOT THE SAME JUICE.

It taste completely different. The new juice has a stale, almost medicinal taste. And now I have 100ml's of this stuff.

This comes after an already trying week full of equipment malfunctions and some hardcore cigarette cravings.

Don't get me wrong, I'm fully commited to vaping and staying cigarette free, but the inconsistencies of a certain distributor (who shall remain nameless) was close to being the straw that broke this camel's back.

There isn't one on either, nor on any of the other bottles of liquid I've ordered from this particular vendor.

Many have experienced what you have, including myself. I have a few posts on this but basically I think a mistake was made at dekang in mixing a big batch of juice that goes from around late May (in production) to late August. For me it was a harsh tobacco taste and others have described it as plastic, chemical and perfumey. The most recent production lots do not have this and are back to pre May tastes, imho. I noticed it first in an order from Eastmall but also in orders from Heaven Gifts but my last three orders from HG have been fine. I haven't reordered from Eastmall. The Joye/Janty line didn't seem to be affected throughout.

Perhaps some vendors still have some of the old stuff left.... and you got some. I'd return it if I were you, if you can. I've sent some back myself.

That really, really sucks! I have gone through the same thing, just not in that large quantity. Maybe you could doctor it up with some flavorings?

    Thanks for the info, Kent.

There's a definite perfume quality to it. I've only used about ten drops in all so hopefully I can return it.

Leaving the supplier nameless will create the possibility of others having the same problem.

You should name names for the sake of others..

Yep. I got that heavily from the cappuccino from eastmall but the tobacco based flavors like hilton, kent, flue cured were totally ruined and 555 was like chewing on a cheap cigar.

And frankly any vendor could have some of this left. I just know that hilton, kent, ruyan 4, flue cured, cappuccino, coffee, cuban cigar from Heaven Gifts is back to the good stuff. And Jersey Girl reported that the unflavored stuff wasn't affected so it was in the flavoring. I don't think it's 'bad, racid, or toxic' just a mistake in blending amounts - heavy on the tobacco, but that's just a guess.

That said, I have a friend that actually liked the stuff - looking for a 'tobacco throat hit'?? lol. And wv2win never complained either although he may have been vaping on the old stuff as he started to stash earlier than a lot of us. Perhaps you can find someone who likes it. However, I won't be buying any of that stuff off classifieds unless it has a prd date after July 20. (which actually I got in August).

As far as the 'doctoring it up' with flavorings - I've found various juices that will lessen the bite - coconut, vanilla, Ecopure (although what a waste of good juice, imo), And of course menthol or mint can cover and pure VG to dilute. The last would be the least expensive and you could add some lorann flavoring - vanilla perhaps.

I might just try and fix it. I might try and mix with the mint juice I have and maybe dilute with some VG.

Thanks again for the info. I'll definitely be more aware of production dates in the future.
