Chuck! Customized graphics that you choose, so one of a kind kick ass PV!! Best price out there. If you choose to go 6v, you can. Some find they don't like the harshness of high voltage vapor or get tired of 6v killing atomizers (big learning curve with 6v, and you have to keep major liquid in the atomizer). You can pull it back to 3.7v by changing the battery type in the Chuck.
I use 3.7v in both a Chuck and Little Chuck... awesome vapor (a new battery puts out 4.2v). It is every bit as good as my 5v PS passthrough!

I PREFER 3.7 volts..the flavor is better IMO. I have the Protege and it is awesome at 3.7! I also have a Prodigy and PS PT. I use the 901 on the Protege, but hubs prefers the 801. I use the 801 on the PT and Prodigy because it seems to lessen the harshness for me.
It has been my experience that the HVPV, like Prodigy, PT, necessitates shorter puffs or release of the button and continue the draw to avoid a burning taste on the atty. They are also juice hogs!

I'm in the same boat. I got the 510 Chuck and it was great at 6v, but I think it's even better at 3.7v. Flavors are better, still great vapor. Awesome battery life.
At 6v, I had to use short, 2 second draws, or the atty got very hot, and the juice would get a burned taste to it. It would suck down juice like nobody's business, too.

On the battery mods, the 3.7v people talk about is actually closer to 4.2v with a decent charge, and the 510 works very well at this voltage. It's much better than the standard crappy batteries that come with an e-cig. My Chuck uses an 18650 battery, and it performs extremely well for a good day and a half before starting to taper off a little bit. That's when I swap batteries.
As far as 6v vaping goes... when using two RCR123A batteries, you're actually vaping at over 7v, closer to 8v. That's a tad much to expect most attys to survive, which is why folks wither use a voltage regulator to drop it down to 5v, or they resign themselves to the fact that their attys are truly disposable.
I'd rather have attys that last a few months.

I've never felt the need to go 5 + volts , simply because the 3.7v devices I use do the job nicely. and I'm a heavy user.....lots of unknowns about higher temp vaping that also puts me off a bit.
Granted I'll no doubt try it soon , I keep threating to buy or make a high Volt PV but as yet I have no need to , just want
Mind you , If your buying new you may as well buy a device that can do both if your not sure, like the Prodigy ( 5 volt option there , seems prefered by those that use it. 3.7 and 6v ) , Silver bullet ( 6 volt , some say is too much. 3.7v ) .

I like the 3.7v for the Protege. I bought the Prodigy at the same time. I find that I prefer the Protege simply because I don't have to drip, like you do with the Prodigy. The Prodigy wiill be good when I can just kick back with nothing to do but when I'm working (my business is online, not e-cig related) I much prefer the Protege.
Hellen A. Handbasket or AngusATAT do you use a 3.7v battery in the Chuck (or can you)? Not the little Chuck, the bigger Chuck? If so, what 3.7 battery do you use (where/link)? Thanks in advance!
I'm waiting on my Chuck to get Chucked now, probably another week or two.
All have 510 atty's

I use an 18650 battery for my Chuck. I got mine from Amazon because I didn't want to wait 3 weeks to get them from China. Make sure you get the protected batteries, and get at least 2600mAH, if not 3000mAH.

18650 battery is 3.7v. Vapes like a champ and pushes out 4.2v at first charge. No need for 6v for me!!
I'm starting to look like I'm stalking Angus... He's everywhere I go lately. ha.

5V is a sweet spot IMO. A freshly charged 3.6V battery running at 4.2V is nice as well. 6V+ is just a dangerous area. If you don't know whats going on you can easily destroy an atty. I lost one over the weekend, I took a draw off of it thinking it had enough liquid in it, and in a matter of about 1.5 seconds it went cold
I really do like my 5V home made passthrough though, it works like a champ and the voltage is consistant.
