Default just fixed my first (1 week old) battery

i did a stupid thing and sucked directly on a battery because it didn't switch on correctly...i heard a unusual noise and then it died.

i read a post from madog how to dismantle a battery without destroing it,
    so i openened it.
the switch has a membrane with a small tube in the middle, where the actual switch,a small rod, is connected to the membrane.
the rod came off the membrane from sucking directly on the battery....
i slided the rod back in the membrane's tube, and put everything together-thats it,less than 5 minutes.
next time i will put some wd40 on the contacts behind the small rod,
this will make the switch work even better.

so what the h-ll do i have to do to get a simple basic function like the edit facility back... not having it (at least for five minutes) really is not acceptable.. even more so where links to pics are concerned..

cool, guess you're only using then for the threads so not really a concern for you. by the sounds of things on katys' thread, they're getting bad feed back anyway.

we have a box full of chopped off ones.. just bits.. if we ever rummage in the box for something there are red flashing led lights going off like crazy.. he he..

using them as we do does give us the opportunity to see whats in the little metal tubes.. these are very very sensitive.. simply picking up a handful will have them going off...
