Next question (gee, I'm just full of annoying questions this evening...): is glycerin the same thing as PG? The reason I ask is because I have glycerin here because I formulate my own skin care products. I just tasted it (no, I didn't swallow, and I rinsed my mouth out thoroughly), and it is VERY sweet.

JLeigh--No--VG or vegetable glycerin is more sweet and viscous then PG--totally different. VG is all that I use now.

I dont remember, I know they post the reports tho---I wonder if the flavorings are maybe made by similar ways as capella flavorings? Capella flavoors are all 100% sweetner free I believe?...dont quote me on that tho...I just read abt them last nite and picked up a few bottles that said sweetner free.....another thing for u guys to check out maybe. I ordered some VG by NOW, some capella flavors and Ill just buy some distilled water from the store - going to give mixing my own nic-free juice a shot! It will be fun, and cheap! Ill post if I have any major success!

Also-Glyverin is the same as VG...but if its not food grade, they dont have to say VEG, but from my understanding of a pharmacist I spoke w/on THIS forum, all glycerin is veg glycerin. Im using some rite aid brand glycerin to lower the nic in my juices til my VG gets in-ive had no probs at all, just notice the juice IS a lil sweeter!

BTW If im not mistaken, all glycerin on the market should be labeled USP grade...

    Thanks, Sun.

This isn't vegetable glycerin, this is non-vegetable glycerin (or so the pharmacist said). So, I wondered if the taste might be similar to PG and/or if they were the same thing. I picked it up from my pharmacy some months back.

Jleigh--you should be using USP or Food Grade VG---anything else I would be careful of as there are synthetics out there. Wonder what the pharmacist gave you? The VG is well marked USP or Food Grade.

How sweet are "sweet" e-liquids anyway? Something tells me if you tasted the liquid, it would not taste sweet, and therefore, might not need an additional sweetener--natural or otherwise. I think it might be quite possible that the only sweetness could come from the PG or VG. Many things that smell sweet have no sweetener. I'm in the coffee and tea business and many unflavored coffees and teas have naturally "sweet" flavors.

I have some JC 0 mg juice. Maybe I'll taste a drop or two and see if they taste as sweet as they vape.

She gave it to me in a cough syrup bottle and marked it "Glycerin (Glycerol)". I told her what I needed it for, and that I didn't want vegetable glycerin because it's stickier on the skin. Apparently, non-vegetable glycerin can be derived from animal fats.

JC-Zero nic has a bitter sweet taste and they list their ingrediants, but you always get that "natural and artifical flavorings" ---so who knows.
