My husband got me a Protege for my birthday and got it with the 901 adapter because that was my main pv at the time. I have had an 801 before ( he has them now) and really had a lot of problems with leakage, no matter how careful I was about refilling it. He never has problems. Anyway, the protege drinks like a fish and I chain vape, so I'm constantly topping off. I'm thinking of getting the 801 adapter to hold more juice, fewer top offs. Any suggestions or comments?

I have not used the 901 but have been using the 510 for my first several months and just started using an 801 for the same reason that you want to. I am tired of topping off my 510 carts. Anyway, I have had some leakage problems and have noticed that I get leakage more when I try to top off my cart right after taking a couple drags and it is still warm. It seems like if I wait for it to cool then the leakage is minimal. I am noticing also that if I try to take two or three consecutive drags that I start to get a burnt taste. Maybe I need to try a different filler or something.

Maybe that was a big part of it, filling it while it was still warm from vaping. As for filler, I go between PTB mods and fluval. I just can't decide which. Maybe I'll just steal one of my husband's 801s back for a day or two and try again.... I just can't understand why some people have great luck with them (my husband) and some people (like us) get leakage. My thought process is that my protege will drink up the juice before it gets a chance to leak!

I have heard some people mention the fluval. What is it and where do you buy it?

hittman, this link tells you which Fluval to get and how to do it. I found mine at PetSmart, but most larger tropical fish stores or pet supply stores should have it. 304/305/404/405 series filter material is what you want. Fluval cartridge restuffing video instructions.

I would get an adapter at altsmoke and you can go from 901 to the 801 if you like.

yknotagain, thanks for the link and the pm. I will definitely pick up some to try. I have also heard talk about high bridge and low bridge attys. I got mine from heaven-gifts and honestly don't know which ones they are since they are the only ones I have ever used. How do you tell the difference?

The ones from HG are high bridge. I only had one low bridge one and it died after a week. All my high bridge ones have been going on 2 months without problems.

It will work. They all screw on just like an atomizer screws on.
