Thanks Kent, I'll check those out if my latest order doesn't do the trick for me.

I was lucky enough to get in on the 30% birthday sale, but got some since then too. That was for the UK but they let the US in too. Pretty sure the US birthday happens in December.

My PCC worked fine for a couple months but still got tired of changing batts. Thought about the mega batts, but got a Protege instead. It's small, looks very classy, vapes great, and the batts are 900mah. I love it!

Thats good news. And finally someone recognized my name lol. Its a bit obscure I know, but my favorite episode.

Back to topic, can someone with experience tell me how the mega batts perform? My regular 510 batts are have pretty poor life.

Well.. I use the Megas at home too.. and at the office.

And like Kent already mentioned... the life is about 2X (I'm thinking 1.5 - 1.7X actually...). And, it takes about 2X the time to charge them too.

So generally speaking, if you're vaping on one with the other one charging, when A dies.. B will be ready to go.

I vape a little heavy when I'm in my home office or at work. So "B" usually isn't quite ready for me. I've always got a standard in my PCC to bridge the gap.

I plan on making the mod to my PCC so it will hold the Mega as well.

510 PCC is crap. The tube holding the battery pulls away from the battery because it is only secured with glue. The screws holding the lid in place are about the size of a pinhead and break very easily--you will find out if you drop the PCC on the floor.

And by using the 510 megabatt, the PCC is unnecessary, and has really become obsolete, IMHO.

Hmm. My 510 PCC has worked very well for me, and I got my dad one and his is working well too. Guess you got a bad one.

After using it for a few days now, I'm happy to report that mine is working just peachy too. My 5-way charger and USB passthrough came in the mail today too, and they are both performing as I had hoped.

I feel kinda weird smoking something that's plugged into my computer though.

Nope. Many forum participants have admitted to having to stick spacers under the lid to keep the battery in contact with battery. This worked for a while, until I opened up the PCC and found the tube secured with something like silicone sealant. It continues to stretch away from the batt over time, until the spacer becomes so thick that closing the lid will break it.

I assume you have not yet had enough experience with the PCC to draw a conclusion about its reliablity. If I'm right, then I suggest you wait till you do. Otherwise you may be causing people to waste their money on an obsolete part.
