Don't mean to be offensive...... Cost money to get a good Mod..... However, in the long run, it is cheap...... I smoked 2 to 3 packs of cigs / day at 8 USD a pack...... That is well over 400 USD per month...... I bought a GG Transformer from a 3rd party for 170 USD..... Bought adapters for 510, 801 and 901 for 36 USD and an AFS for 50 USD..... Total is approx 250 USD plus charger and batteries..... Maybe a total of 325 USD...... 325 USD seems like a lot for smoking..... Am already ahead by at least 75 USD..... Now all I got to do is buy occassional atomizers and liquid...... Maybe 50 USD a month.......
That is a savings of roughly 4200 USD a year...... Not to mention my health improvements...... Maybe you should re-think.......
If I buy a regular E-Cig, 510, 801 or 901, got to buy periodic batteries, atomizers, PCC's and Pass Throughs..... Played that game with Titan 510...... Cost much more......
My GG runs on 3.7 or 6.0 volts...... Comes standard 901, adapts to 510 and 801..... Now they offer AFS for less filling...... My batteries last 2 days, AFS fluid lasts hours for less agravation...... I will gladly invest 400 USD to save 4200 USD..... Just an opinion......

First off, the Protoge is 3.7v only, I have 2 on order

Things I know run at 5v, or can:
Puresmoker usb passthrough, but you need a pc or better yet a wall socket, or portable usb power pack etc: for ez power I suggest this: USB Dual Power Adapter

Prodigy V2: When they get it remade has 2 switch options, either with resistor for 5v only, and w/o resistor for either 3.7 or 6v+ depending on the batteries used. You could buy both switches if you wish. this along with the usbpass at: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!

GLV 5v: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

Vaprlife have the VP3 comming out at 5v: VaprLife

Then there are a few modders here that made multivolt devices, I can think of 2 off the top of my head, send pm for names if you cant find them and want to know (<---shameless attempt at not breaking the rules)

There may be some I missed, and am sure that will be corrected by some kind soul

Probably your cheapest option is to make your own. If you omit the led it is easier and cheaper.

Try a chuck and it comes with any design you want on it. Does the low and high voltage, depending on which batteries you use.

There are lots of BB mods out there, but the absolute best IMO is the Chuck. There are a lot of reasons why I say it's the best.

1) You can run it on 3.7V or 6V. (that doesn't really put it ahead, as other BB mods can do that too)
2) All copper body. This puts it ahead of a lot of BB mods, because most are aluminum body which has higher resistance so you don't get the full voltage to your atty. I have heard (from ppl that own both) that a 3.7V chuck hits like other 5V mods.
3) Quality workmanship. These are hand built by one guy (Jeff) in his shop, not mass produced. He takes great pride in the building of his product and has a one year warranty to back it up. The thing is built like a tank.
4) Customizable. This is the thing that separates the Chuck from ALL other mods. There are many colors to choose from. These are not just spray-paint jobs either. They are powder coated (like a paint job on a car) so it is very durable. Best of all, you can email your own custom graphics to him and he will put them on and clear-coat them in.
5) Price. Most BB mods are selling for $100+. Jeff sells the Chuck for $80 shipped.

Anyone interested can check them out here:

It's a very long thread but you can see the progression of the Chuck from it's conception. If you want to see some of the latest works, go to the end and work your way back.

BTW: the pics of the illusion colors don't do them justice. In person they are absolutely gorgeous.

Guys, the Chuck is great, but the OP specifically asked for 5 volts, not 6 or 3.7.

(Though it's worth noting that the 18650 in the Chuck runs at around 4.2v when fully charged, and stays right up there for a long time -- at least several hours to a day, and lasts for several days before needing to be recharged).

Yeah, It is not 5v... that's why I added the statement that I have read from many users that a Chuck at 4.2V vapes as good or better than other 5V mods.

You have to keep this in mind with 5V mods...There are no 5V batts, so there are only two ways to get 5V. (from current batteries)
1) use two 3V batts and a resistor to bring the voltage across the atty down...Downfalls: A) two 3V batts are not going to get the capacity of a single larger battery. B) the resistor wastes some of the energy, making the capacity even lower.
2) use a 'step-up' DC converter. This also wastes some of the energy and lowers the rated capacity of the battery.

Oh yeah, and 3) use a zener diode with the 2x 3V batts to 'clip' to 5V. But again, 2x3V = lower capacity than a single larger batt.
