What the heck is with the battery with the 510 passthru? I had a 401 passthru and it did not have a battery. Have been trying to find out what it is with no luck. What is this silly thing all about?

It uses the battery exclusively instead of the USB voltage. The USB voltage only charges the battery, not the best option because the 10440 battery is not very consistant. There are a few PT's around for a 510 that do not have the battery and are a better option.

Hrmmm, yea, I took out the battery and kept it plugged in and no vapor. But I put it back in and unplugged it from the computer and it still worked. So I guess you could take it with you, if you wanted to vape with a cord. That would be weird...

Two more quick questions, any idea if I did use it without being plugged in, how long it would last before having to be recharged? Also is it bad to keep it plugged in all the time, or should I keep unplugging it every so often?

something all vaporers need to look at. The battery is a 320 mAh, the standard battery for a 510 is a 180 (or 120, but i think 180) That lets you know this battery last almost twice as long as a standard batt.

when you get into "mods" and such keep the [mAh} thing in mind it will answer alot of your "how long does this last" questions.

    i hope this is helpful.

Ok I am new to the E-Cigarettes but I love them! I bought one of the starter kits..((h_t_t_p://i589.photobucket.c_o_m/albums/ss332/katiemarienelson71730/5603362_m.jpg)) and it comes with 7 cartridges and w battery charger built into pack. I paid $30 for it at a store in Arkansas. They had it marked for $38 but quickly realized that I knew you could get them fro $17 on the internet! OMG a $20 profit man thats BS!! Anyways I need some help with mine. Can anyone tell me what model the battery is on this thing and is it interchangable with others?

Ok the E-Health brand ciggarettes suck! I paid $30 for the pack with 7 carts 1 battery and atomizer. I had to drive 4 hours to get replacement cartridges. After I got home and charged the battery I went to smoke some of my mint carts that I paid $10.66 x 2 for 2 packs of 10 and as i was trying to take a drag i saw a white flash in the cart. The atomizer is burnt up! WOW a $30 pack of smokes that last me for 1 week! JEESH!!! You guys don't buy the E-Health brand in the green and blue pack! What a rip off!
