I sometimes wonder if people are scared to say anything because they think you're smoking something illegal. Their thought might be, If he's that brazen to be smoking a special pipe out in public, it's better to leave the guy alone and move on.

I'm a bit paranoid, though it doesn't stop be from using my e-cig.

I have also noticed this myself. Yes, I do get the strange look and the quick, "What's that?" but after that the smokers I have encountered just go about their business. It made think that Big Tobaccoo really doesn't have anything to worry about. Or do they. I honestly don't know or care at this point in my life. Be well everyone!

FauxPuff:

I certainly hope you're not encouraging vapping in public. You can get arrested for that.

I never use mine in stores or restaurants, but I do make it a point to vape as I walk up to buildings. People shoot me the odd glance now and then, but I've only had one person ask me about it. A guy said "Is that one of those electronic cigarettes?" Since my silver 901 looks more like a pen than an analog, I was actually surprised he knew what it was. I suppose the vapor clued him in

Pretty much same story here. I was walking up to the bank and and couple asked about it. I talked to them and gave them a card. Other than that no one has said anything except bums asking to bum a cig off me after seeing me exhale that beautiful cloud of vapor. Boy you should see the looks I get when I tell them sorry I don't smoke. Only been cussed at once so far, lol, I do it on purpose now he he.
