It works too for when one upgrades to 6v mod, starts hating 3.7 volts and then has to go back when the mod breaks!

Just because we all got off the tar doesn't mean anyone else has too. its a person choice. people need to let other people live...and die...they way they choose to.

I'm starting to find other peoples smoke smelly, nasty and annoying, but seeing as I subjected many people to my own second hand smoke for around 25 years, I'll be "quietly annoyed" and leave it at that...stones, glass houses, etc...

As for pushing e-cigs on folks, if they show an interest or ask about them, yeah, I'll claim it's the smartest and most gratifying move I've made for a long time, but I'm not going to start hassling complete strangers...that way lies a punch in the head IMO.

I don't push e-cigs on anyone out of fear they'll buy one, not realize it's not as easy as buying a pack, opening it a lighting one up. There is a learning curve and frankly I don't want to be "that guy".

Not everyone has the ability or the desire to learn a new habit like I have.

And with that said, thank god I did, I can only wish the same success on many of my friends who still smoke and to the people I don't know who are trapped.

Hmm, me thinks some people are just like that. Could be wrong. It is a drastic "thing" to leave all those extra chemicals behind us. He probably has more energy now, and he's proud of quitting, so the combination of the beer, and the no nasty chemicals maybe.
