When you refill and take out the poly fill and drip into it, what stops it from seeping through the carts mouth hole into your mouth?

If you take the poly out and look down into the cart, you will see that the poly is in a "cup" that is closed off at the bottom.

As has been said before, the vapor does not flow through this cup (it doesn't flow through the poly). It comes from the atomizer and flows around the outside of the cup via the air channels.

What gets liquid in your mouth is when you overfill the cart and liquid flows into the atty, and then gets carried by the airflow into the air vent to the side(s) of the liquid holder in the cart.

If you don't tip the cigarette up too high (keep the tip lower than the mouth end) and breathe gently (taking some air in through the sides of your mouth, not sucking only through the mouthpiece), you can avoid getting liquid in your mouth even if the atty's somewhat flooded.
