Got suckered in by Smoking Everywhere in The E-Cigarette; My hubby & I were at the mall 2 days ago and happened upon the Smoking Everywhere kiosk. We had ...

Do you guys have the equivalent of "Trading Standards" over there? I presume you are in the USA.
Basically if you have been sold a product and the seller has missguided you by saying "these carts are the equivalent of a pack and a half" when in reality they are more like 4-5 cigs then that is "False Advertising"
Personally, I would go back with all the goods and demand a refund otherwise you would be reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities. Don't let these morons constantly get away with ripping you guys off.
901's are well recommended to start off with around these forums. Good value, carts easy to top off etc, drip smoke well and spares are readily available.
Sorry to hear of your open wallet surgery.

I was almost in the same boat as you. I too was at a mall recently and I saw one of the Smoking Everywhere kiosks. Luckily, the guy running the kiosk was somewhat of a jerk and totally alienated me from buying/trying his product.
The upside to the story is that it brought you here (as it did me). I just placed my first order with puresmoker dot com (can't post full urls yet because I don't have enough posts). I did quite a bit of research in the last few days, and I decided to try working with Steve at puresmoker. He has a lot of people that have given him good reviews and his prices seem to be reasonable. The other thing I liked about him is his streightforwardness about how many cigarettes you can realistically replace with a cartridge. There are a number of companies referenced by different people on this site. If you spend some time looking around, you should be able to get a good idea of who it would be wise to buy from.

Thanks spyderuk - I think I just might take all of their "stuff" back and at least give them a piece of my mind about all the lies they told me... even if it doesn't get me any of my money back! With their "no refund" policy sign I really should have known to think twice... and even with the lies about how long a cartridge would last... I don't know what I would need to go through to get a refund, since it seems I agreed to the "no refund" in the first place. I do know there are plenty of other things I can do that might "hurt" their biz... by posting a "beware" notice on our local Craigslist. The only "good" thing I can say about Smoking Everywhere is that they WILL probably make a huge number of people aware that there IS actually such a thing as an e-cig... and they might do the research first (like I should have done) so if there is a plus to it all... that would be it.
I am still very grateful that I do (now) know there are e-cigs to replace regular cigs... and I AM very determined to make this work for me after smoking for over 30 years!

Mixxy I wish you luck with this. There are laws to protect consumers against this sort of thing. How they work in the States I do not know but it is a big thing in the UK.
You say this kiosk was in a mall? Maybe you could take the matter up with the mall managers and inform them of how they are missleading customers with their overpriced products.
Also, were they advertising the E-cig as NRT?
Edit. Alternativley. I would personally take a packed lunch, flask of coffee and a chair and sit by the kiosk directing all would be customers to this forum and advise them to avoid smokingeverywhere's overpriced products. After they have lost out on a few possible sales maybe they will refund you to get you out of there way!
I can be a stubborn ass!

Mixxy, welcome to ecf, sorry that happened to you but yeah, this forum is an awesome place for info on these things.
I was lucky when one of the guys i work with came in to work one day with one. We'd always had discussions on quitting while have a smoke outside.
I researched and found this place first.
I ordered from Katy at www.thesmokelessshop.com (MI) but have read nothing but good about www.puresmoker.com (CA), which may be your best place to order from since you are on the west coast (shorter shipping times). I'm sure there are other good suppliers too. Somewhere there is a thread that lists recommended suppliers, would link to it but can't find it right now.
Wherever you order from, once you get it, check back here for help, advice whatever. I have smoked 20 - 30 cigs a day for 30 years. Since getting my 901 last Tuesday i have prob smoked no more than 2 -3 analogs and yesterday had my first smoke free day in a long time.
Good luck, expect to see you around here in the future

It's funny because I was in the casino one night and a guy brought in some e cigs and I thought it was such a great concept that I bought one. It was a Smoking Everywhere cig too. What a piece of crap it was. Well it made me very curious and I started researching and wound up here. I then bought a penstyle from smartfixx and it was better but not great. I think it had a 2 hole atomizer because it was like sucking a milkshake from a straw. So then I really stepped up my research because I really wanted and needed this to work for me. I have since purchased my new e cigs from puresmoker.com and have been smoke free since. I would try to take that e cig back and invest in a good more reliable product and company. Good luck to you. Dont give up!!

I think a lot of first experiences with e-smoking happen kind of like that. I went in blind and ordered my first "kit" of 2 e-cigs from eBay. A week later, one atomizer was toast, the other was on the ropes and the 15 carts that came with the kit were dry. I got a bottle of e-liquid from Johnson Creek, thinking it would last a month... my error, there. Now I have at least 2 bottles in stock at all times!
Whatever happened, I realize that, yes, I did stumble around and bang into some bad deals along the way, but I'm not smoking analogs any longer!
Since then, I found this haven for e-cig enthusiasts and read posts until my eyes got sore. As most of the posters here agree, the e-cig itself is still "new" and evolving. Sometimes you get lucky and buy a really good puffer - other times, well, not so hot.
All in all, even the rook deals helped get me to start a much heathier life. For that, I am thankful, no matter what the cost.

Wait... so there's no absorbent material inside the cartridges? It's just an empty plastic tube?
That's just a mouthpiece. The guy sold you a bunch of empty cartridges. The whole point of the cartridge is to contain nicotine liquid inside an absorbent material.
So to answer your question, no, you can't refill those carts. I would contact the mall where he works. Screw that guy. Just so you don't completely quit though, e-smoking for real costs about half as much as what you paid. For half as much you could get a nice generic set, 20 carts, and two bottles of juice and smoke for 2 weeks.
