Sadly Tets I dont have a sense of smell full stop lol but I am thinking some lavender oil rubbed on my temples now couldnt hurt LOL
At the moment its Victoria, but it will be nationwide in a matter of months ... in my opinion the government is simply using the poisons act as a means to control the usage until it can be exploited by big pharma and the tobacco corps, and handed over as a "safe regulated industry" funny whenever I see regulated , my fingers want to type " TAXED !!!! "
I am a little disappointed in my fellow Victorians at the moment, they seem to have a habit of allowing the Brumby Govt to do whatever they like... killing farmers livelihoods, stealing water from country Victoria to keep the voters in Mebourne happy, promising the world and delivering nothing,
As an aside to the topic, my water here comes from irrigation channels, I have what used to be called a stock and domestic water right in 2004, in 2005, Our Government took this right away from me and replaced it with a water "share" promising nothing would change ....yeah right !!! As part of Mr Brumby's big plan to save water and justify his building of a big pipe to ship water from the Murray to Melbourne (stealing it from those of us who used to have "rights" to it ) well our towns channel was declared non conforming to his new standards and was shut down .... we went without any water whatsoever apart from rainfall in the biggest drought this century !!! It took me 16 months of lobbying, naming and shaming , to get a pipeline built to supply a town which by although having water rights was denied the right to exercise them !!!... we were actually relying on the Salvation Army to truck water into us , which we tried to avoid as we felt their resources shouldn't be used to help us , that Brumby's Govt should !!! .. this is the mentality we are dealing with folks, I have already experienced it for years in ways most people will never experience... sorry for the hijack LOL

    Default Bureaucracy sucks!

I am livid with the powers that be right now. It seems everywhere in the world right now, governments have suddenly become vehemently antitobacco, and in the process, antinicotine. It is all about the money, not my health. If it were about my health, they would help me find a suitable alternative instead of trying to squelch any alternative I may find on my own.

Tetsab is right, prohibition does not work. The most recent events are leading toward prohibition in obvious ways. What they are really doing is forcing us addicts to be criminals and deal in a black market of heaven knows what chemicals to get our fix. Only the crime syndicates and their purchased politicians benefit from this system.

Tropical Bob is also correct. Our only REAL recourse is to be very upfront and honest with the government and take our financial rape without a fight. Big Brother can gather any kind of info they want on us, we have unwittingly allowed this to become possible. I would rather be an addict than a jailbird. We would at least get the side effect of more reliable product and more informed decisions than we once had. Heck, we might even create a few jobs in the process. I considered defecting to another country, but I would really just be trading one corrupt government for another, more corrupt one. I feel entirely trapped in the current political atmosphere. We need some lawyers.

    Default victorians unite

I read where this guy who sells the egar in victoria has sold over 20,000 of them,
get hold of him, his customers and all the victorian e-ciggers,
now you have a small army,
go attack your local member with this grievance, all of you, block the carpark, block the office, etc untill you are heard and listened to.
then do the same service for your health minister.
see if they want to be re elected next term.......
if you do it right, you will get good tv coverage, your grievance will be televised nation wide,
I think lots of family members will support the cause also, 'cos they too see the benefits.
when it comes to our state, I hope all south australians will do the same, but I think you vics have the biggest numbers of e-ciggers - vapers.
so we are all looking to you vics to get the revolution started.

Agreed dikerry, that minister needs to be held accountable in his own electorate. That's where his votes come from.

The trouble with all of this is going to be the ease at which smokers are dismissed in this age, we are seen as pariahs, we're too stupid to give up something that is obviously bad for our health.

This needs to be spun around. I feel we really need to play up the "e-smoking ban supports big tobacco income" ticket. "Smokers seeking healthier option get squashed by big tobacco" etc.

I know this link is there, proving it is going to be really hard.

I'm going to write to any minister's email I can obtain. I have calmed down a little from my initial reaction and realise that rushed emotive emails full of grammatical errors won't hold much water.

I would love someone to provide us with a form letter containing the relevant positive information that we can all start spamming the right people with *looks at Tropical Bob*.

I urge anyone in a country that hasn't criminalised it yet to start informing your local members of the benefits of e-smoking and provide them with as much information as possible, before it happens there too.

It is very upsetting that the whole problem with this is that the respective governments can't figure out how to make money off of it.

And those who have the money in power have the say. Those of us who don't have the money are hushed.

My only hope is that someone who has enough money can see the money to be made on this that they can change the tide.

    I sure can't, I can only complain.

Trumpy, if you hear a helicopter overhead, it's undoubtedly using infrared cameras to detect the heat from a glowing atomizer so ground forces can be directed to your location where the criminal e-vapor can be apprehended. Cover your atomizer with your hand each time you inhale ...

TB , I am currently working on my prototype liquid nitrogen cooled atomiser with dual doppler radar interference.... I think design and assembly would go smoother and quicker if I cut eyeholes in this damn tinfoil helmet I am wearing tho

Chelu ... you should never make offers to strange men unless you are prepared to back them up Hmmmm now theres a concept.... travelling the world staying one step ahead of the progressing bans.... it would be all good I reckon until the eventual 500 of us are looking for a room to sleep in,
    in Bolivia !!!
