Electronic Cigarette Stats

Looking for any information about electronic stats for a presentation.
I understand some stats are/may be preliminary in certain cases but will probably be helpful for trends analysis.

Here are a few but open to suggestions


1- Smoker satisfaction poll
effectiveness poll (% who keep smoking e-cigs vs those who try and abandon

2-also poll / stats on e-cig knowledge
eg. In canada, most smokers do not yet know e-cigs exists
or what their meant for vis a vis other cessation products

3- poll on sales penetration

hey marky -

even though ecigs are classified as NRT's, the poll in the Law Forum about those that would choose vaping over smoking if vaping became regulated is pretty interesting. it definitely shows how many off us do not want to return to cigarettes and are willing to pay the extra cost to avoid them.

We don't have any idea of how many people try vaping and give it up, most of us here are enthusiasts so you won't likely get any idea from asking us.

Feel free to set up your own polls, that could be interesting.

I don't think any of the requested statistics are known. I, too, would like to know how many try one of these and throw it out in a few days. We're the early adopters and hobby enthusiasts. We have the enthusiasm to stay with it. A majority of people don't have that kind of drive. And, despite some glowing posts, I don't consider e-cigarettes any kind of magic Quit Bullet. Our "failure rate" will be high.

Like the atomizers in the devices we use.
