USB charging

I'm just curious...will the cigarette lighter car plugs that Griffin and Belkin make for iPods work with the USB chargers and USB passthrough batteries?

I know with the passthroughs it needs to be 1000 mah (as opposed to 500 mah). I don't know about the usb chargers though.

anyone have any more info about this. i've tried looking on the packaging to see what kind of mah they use but it's not on there or on their website (Griffin or Belkin).

I would just rather be able to pick one up at the local store than order online.

just curious...were you talking about a battery pack? I'm looking for info on car adapters that plug into the lighter thing in a car. I'm not sure if the mah matters as far as adapters go. any idea?

Yeah, I posted the info on the one I just bought in my "help with USB passthrough" thread on the tech problems section.

I am under the impression they do need to be the 1000 mAh and 5V. I found one at Walmart for $10. I posted the details on it in that other thread. If you can't find it, PM me.

thanks Gabby. I PMd you earlier but just saw your other thread. thanks for the info. i wish this freakin' manufacturer's would post the mah on their products...all I can find is voltage.

it does matter because you need the enough power to make it work. I'm still waiting for my Usb Cigarette charger from walmart, it's the scosche 2 usb charger($5.00). I should get it tommorrow in the mail, So I will let you know as soon as I get it if it works.
But on ebay if you type in 1000mah usb battery or 1000mah usb charger there are some very cheap ones on there for less than $5.00 with shipping included

thanks Duke! I actually just got done chatting with Gabby and you both gave pretty much the same info. I think I'll be heading to Wal-mart tomorrow to hunt down this elusive charger. haha.
