That's a good thing. You look like a very angry, violent man.

    lol.. That is not true

but the mAh rating of a battery is directly tied to the amount of time between charges, correct?

    See, you are correct!

If that is true, wouldn't the Bartleby batt. last much longer than the mega?

    Again, correct.

When you say "mine lasts all day," are you referring to a Bartleby batt or a mega?

    Bartleby batt.

    And what's "ymmv?"

your mileage may vary. Depends how much you vape and your habits with handing a manual but you'll get much more than 4 hours from a Bartleby.
Sweet! I finally got something right! YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I think the size might be an issue at the prison, now that I've slept on it and thought about it. Can a PCC be purchased for a 510 that is compatible with mega batts? How long do these mega batteries usually last (on average)? Even my stock 510 batt's are lasting me anywhere from 2-5 hours, which isn't all that bad, but I just need a bit more. I would like to keep the small size of the 510, if possible, just in case I need to... ahem... sneak it in.

(yes, I'll probably get fired. I don't care. I'm not going back to analogs).

GOD I hope you are not talking about placing it in the no no zone for carrying into work.

The smaller bat mods might work like a vp1 or spade.

    7) And another note... I am a big fan of the Bartleby, but I'm afraid it wouldn't last long enough for me. I've heard most say it will last about 4 hours. I need something that can last anywhere from 8 to 20 hours (overtime?)

The Little Chuck runs 3.7 at 900 MAH, which seems to be the case for a lot of the 3.7 hybrids. Thagbuilt says the Little Chuck will last an entire day... that's the kind of thing I want.
The Bartleby is a Great device...and while it does run a different Sized Battery as the Lil' Chuck(CR123a vs 14500) they are both rated at 3.7v and 900mAh's...so if your not worried about the lil' chuck running out of gas...i wouldn't worry about the Bartleby

I had been using a Blu e-cig with the PCC and I actually just got my Chuck yesterday. Yes the Blu batts fit a 510 atty as I found out when I got the Chuck. I still use both, but my Chuck will definitely be using my Chuck as primary, with my Blu as a backup for going somewhere that I may not be comfortable using my Chuck.

The Blu PCC is 15/16" x 2 1/4" x 3 3/4", so almost exactly the size of a pack of analogs. This with two batteries that I alternate while charging has never lasted my less than a full day and I've used it for 2 months now.

The Chuck is 7/8" diameter, 4 3/4" long (not counting the atomizer/cart) and I am still going after a full day of heavy vaping using 2x disposable 3V batteries which are about 1500mah. Using an 18650 or similar should last at least 2x as long.

The other big concern is that replacing a battery for a big battery mod is much cheaper than replacing a standard e-cig battery and the batteries should last longer since they aren't being charged and discharged as often.

The PCC also gives you a convenient place to store extra carts and attys (no spare juice). A big batt mod doesn't have this capability and everything would be loose in your pocket, or you'd need a separate small case to hold them.

i'd think a flashlight would look right at home on a prison guard. just leave the atty in a shirt pocket.

For me, I think I would stick with a black 510 with no blue light and a round cartridge. Put it in your shirt pocket with a pen clip and not try to hide it. I should look just like a ink pen. Stealth vape until you get use to your surroundings and then look at your options. If you could get a personal charger in your locker, that would help a lot. Maybe do a cartridge mod to max the amount of juice the cartage holds.

HAHAHAHAHA. No, I don't think that would be necessary.

True that. I didn't know the mAh rating of the Bartleby batts.

Good points. The convenience of having everything in one small case is why I like the idea of a PCC so much.

    Indeed.

I like your idea. The worry I have is the fact that the e-cig is a strange electronic device that I am sure no one there has ever seen. I don't want them to think it's a bomb or something.

To me, it shouldn't be any different than bringing a pack of analogs into the compound, and I am POSITIVE that there are smokers that work there.

I'm not sure yet how anal they are gonna be over security. I do know that NO CELL PHONES are allowed on the compound, which is sort of strange to me. It does worry me, though. They are very anal over recording devices of any kind, for some strange reason. I can't really figure out why, but oh well.

I might have to go back to analogs when I first start, at least until I can get to the point where they know me and don't strip search me every time I come in for work. But the ink pen idea works, too. The only thing is, I do know they make you empty your pockets and run everything through an x-ray machine. They are obviously gonna know the e-cig isn't an ink pen.

I think I will discuss the e-cig with the HR department before I start. At least let them know what it is up front... "a quit-smoking device"... hehehehe. If I'm not allowed to bring it in, oh well. Guess I'll be an analog smoker while I'm at work.

The bartleby can be totally hidden in your palm.

Can a PCC be purchased for a 510 that is compatible with mega batts?

No. Not so you can close the lid. People have used rubberbands to keep the battery connected but the lid has to be open to do that.

How long do these mega batteries usually last (on average)?

A stock 510 manual battery is 150mAh and the mega is 280mAh so figure on about 2x what the manual batt lasts you. It's about an inch longer than the standard 510 battery.

Even my stock 510 batt's are lasting me anywhere from 2-5 hours, which isn't all that bad, but I just need a bit more. I would like to keep the small size of the 510, if possible, just in case I need to... ahem... sneak it in.

The bartleby looks less like a cigarette obviously. The whole length is a bit shorter than the 510 (w/reg.batt) and the length of the box is about the size of just that batt but about 3 1/2 times as wide as it. 2x thick. The PCC is bigger than the bartleby but one 510 with a mega battery might be the ticket if you already get 2-5 hours from your regular 510.
