Default Looking for a hyrbrid

Ok, first things first, I am in desperate love with my Joye 510. However, I do not love the batteries (how many times you heard that now?)

But anyway, I have a dilemma. I'm gonna be starting a new job within the next two months that takes me away from my current desk job of 8 hours a day and puts me instead wandering around a prison yard. Yes, that's a big change, but regardless... it's also a big pay raise.

SO, I don't think I will be able to tolerate carrying around 5 charged 510 batteries in my pockets all day just to be able to vape. So, it seems to me that it's time to get "hybridized."

I'm looking at the Chuck... hard. I also like some things about the Xhaler, and a few others.

But I want some opinions first. I see that the Chuck, for example, can run 3.7 v at 2600 MAH. That's some serious staying power, so much as up to four days between charges depending on vaping habits. That's awesome, but it might be overkill, especially if this thing weighs 10 pounds. The Little Chuck runs 3.7 at 900 MAH, which seems to be the case for a lot of the 3.7 hybrids. Thagbuilt says the Little Chuck will last an entire day... that's the kind of thing I want.

So, now its time for some opinions. Help me out with some advice/recommendations/comment.s

I do have these requirements, though:

1) Must be able to use a 510 atomizer, either stock or by purchasing adaptors (most seem to be able to accomplish this).

2) I don't want something that is impossible to fit in my pocket. How am I gonna carry it around if it won't?

3) I don't want to have to strap it to my back... aka, I don't want something that weighs a ton (figuratively).

4) The usual, of course... durability, reliability, stability. Good build quality, consistent awesome vapor, etc. I'm not really interested in high voltage mods at the moment, but it would be nice to have a hybrid that has the ability to turn into a HV (i.e. Chuck).

5) I don't really care a lot about looks, but those customized Chucks look just plain rad. LED, no LED. I don't care. I'd prefer no LED, I do believe. But it doesn't really matter.

6) Cost isn't a huge concern, but there's not much use paying $200 for something when you can get a different item for half the cost that does the same thing.

7) And another note... I am a big fan of the Bartleby, but I'm afraid it wouldn't last long enough for me. I've heard most say it will last about 4 hours. I need something that can last anywhere from 8 to 20 hours (overtime?)

And... 8) Yes, carts are gonna be a huge concern, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I appreciate any and all replies.

Edit: Also, what is the difference between protected and unprotected batteries? I've been looking at this site, which summarizes most of the big batt mods. I notice some take protected batteries, and some don't. Is a protected batt really necessary in an e-cig?

A mod is definitely in your future. Even using the 510 and PCC won't work as well. The PCC is largeish. Is that a word? Anyway, so many mods so little money. I'd go 3.7v with the understanding that the battery has to go somewhere. Your biggest concern is going to be keeping it juiced. Three options:

Prefill carts
Direct drip
Top off cart

I personally have settled on topping off carts well before they go dry using a PTB. You can easily stash a 3ml or so bottle in a pocket.

Before jumping to a hybrid, have you considered getting a PCC. It's like carrying a pack of analogs in your pocket or purse. It should last you all day easily. Then just charge the PCC while you sleep (same as charging the batteries that go into a hybrid).

My new 510 PCC is working great for me. One battery has recharged long before I exhaust the one I'm vaping with.

OK. I'll bite. What's a PTB?

Do you consider yourself a heavy vaper?

Yes, a PCC would actually be more convenient than a hybrid, simply because of the size.

May I ask where you got your 510 PCC?

Edit: I don't carry a purse. :P

Gosh, you can get them from virtually any 510 supplier. I got mine from Rocky Mountain Vapor: best price I've found (and free shipping).

Is a PCC larger than a hybrid? Those Chucks look pretty big to me.

I've been dripping almost exclusively since I started, but I don't know if that will be practical for me on the job. I might even have to get an adaptor and go the way of the dreaded cartomizers... heh.

That's what I like to hear.

I'm gonna go to bed now and think about these things. If I dream about a Chuck...

Why not look into the silver bullet from altsmoke? Terraphon reviewed it on Youtube, 22 hours of battery life abuse and hella vapor. I dont know if it is considered a hybrid traditionally however I think that it would meet all of your requirements, depending on your definition of heavy and oversized...
