Are all atty's created equal?

How many different 510 atomizer manufacturers are there, and do any of them perform better or outlast the others? Or are the Joye, Titans, and others all basically the same... only branded differently? What about the 901's, 801's, or the 400class?

I ask because I just received 3 new atties for my 510, and I have already had two of them go completely cold (one of them after 3 puffs, and the other after 3 days). I may have just been unlucky, but I definately dont want to make the same mistake twice by ordering from the same manufacturer if this is THAT common... unless I have to.

I would complain to the vendor and see where that takes you. I would guess if you spend a fair amount of money and say you will be going elsewhere from now on they will offer some kinda concession.

The simple answer is a resounding "NO."

And that includes atomizers from the same manufacturer. For example, I now use Joye 510 atomizers. One may last 2 weeks, and another 2 months (or even longer). The last one I retired after about 2 months. It still didn't die... it just got really weak.

Bottom line: Life expectancy of an atomizer is a crap shoot.

I've had 901's and 801's die on the first day of use, and some last a few weeks... I've had decent luck with 510's though. They seem more durable.

To second Brewster's post... Most vendors warrant atomizers for at least a little while. It's worth contacting them. Some vendors will require that you return the faulty ones first, though. It helps to not sound confrontational when you ask. Honey vs vinegar, and all that.

I would say they are not totally the same on the 510's atts which I have 9 from 3 different kinds.

- 2 Joye's atts org came with my first 510 set, over 4months old of everyday vape 3ml/d ( switching between 2-3 atts). One of the atts stopped work on the Mega or Reg 510 batts about a week ago but still works iwth the 18650 batt or 5V Mods, the other still working fine. Their resistance are 2.7 ohms.

- 1 new improved 3K type attomizer , has higher bridge, less metal mess wicking and no nilon fibers in the bridge. I didn't like it much so i took it apart months ago for experiment. The resistance is 2.9 ohms.

- 6 Titan , the wicking system inside look the same as the Joye's one. The resistance of them range 2.4 - 2.5 ohms , burn hotter thus more vapor but less flavor than others a bit. These Titans are good for Reg batts but may not be good for higher power mod, for the mod i would prefer the Joye's.

None of my atts actually died by itself yet, I wonder why yours stopped working so quickly, i think you need to check the connect if it has good contact with the batts and do not trash them yet, let try them on a mod later if you can make a batt box mod or buy one, i don't think they are really cold dead yet. Test them with a multimeter to see what are their resistance reading ?

i believe bestecig also either makes thier own or has thier own stuff made for them. take the BE112 for example.

There are at least two different types of atty's that I know of. I don't know if they are different manufactureres, but they are different. When I look into the atty's on one type, they have a white oval ceramic base under the bridge. When I look at the ones I just got last week, they have a round silver ring under of the bridge. The new ones with the silver ring are definately different in performance. The do not produce near as much vapor as the ceramic ring atyy's. I have not really used them much, so I don't know what the long term reliabilty will be but they are different for sure.

I oredered 3 attomizers with my initial DSE901 kit... So far I have used the 1 that it came with for 2 months & it produces vapor like a champ...

about a week ago just for fun I broke open a new atty & broke it in proper by priming it etc etc.... Even at top performance it is producing 1/2 vapor porduction as my original one...

I have even cleaned my original atty using the Crest Mouthwash tech. and once it dried & re-primed , it was back to smoking like a chimney...

I have also talked to several ppl who say that theor attys have been non-working upon arrival , or atty's that went bad after a week, and then ppll who have used same atty for months... It seems they are very sporatic in life expectancy AND Vapor production...

Good thing they are relatively cheap...

I'd make sure the connectors between the atomizer and battery are clean of juice. I do that before I put it into the charger.
