Default Totally Wicked USA - off on the wrong foot?

I'm not usually one to complain, but I just wanted to see if anyone else here is sharing my experience.

After all the great reviews of the Totally Wicked liquid from the UK I was very excited, and anxiously awaited the opening of their USA supplier. I placed my order soon after they opened, hoping to get my shipment before Christmas. I'm in Texas, supplier in Florida .. no problem right? WRONG, as of this moment, I still have not received my order. Even the stuff I ordered from China about the same time has already come in.

I spoke with the Wicked USA supplier on Dec 27th. She was very nice and apologetic, and explained that she was not yet fully stocked and that anything she didn't have would be coming from the UK. She even posted on this forum something to that effect sometime after I placed my order.

I sent an email off to Totally Wicked yesterday, and received a prompt but blase' response from Jason about how they are very sorry but can't be responsible for the UK or US postal services, especially around the holidays. AND that the US Supplier won't be fully stocked for another TWO WEEKS.

All of the above would have been fine and dandy IF all of this had been disclosed PRIOR to my placing my order. The website does not indicate anywhere that they are out of stock of any particular item, nor does it explain that any out of stock items will be shipped from the UK.

To be honest, if I'd wanted an order from the UK, I would not have waited for the USA site to open.

Thanks for that info. I had been surfing around their site and putting together an idea of an order, but I don't have cash to lay out for weeks. I need juice NOW with the cash I have NOW. They should have it set up where you know what exactly is IN STOCK and will be shipped right away.

I placed my order on Dec 12th and received it on Dec 31st. Ordered from the US site, shipped from the UK. (But I thought I read somewhere that shipping would be from the UK because of problems with US Customs or something)

After ALL the rave, I wasnt that happy. I've only tried 2 flavors, mint/menthol and spearmint. The flavors werent as strong as Cash's or Jane's. Maybe it's just me, or the flavors I chose.

I'd try different flavors if they start selling sample packs. I paid about $67 for 2 - 30ml bottles and shipping. It was a little too expensive for me (for flavors that I didnt/dont truly enjoy).

I think pillbox did mention upon the opening of the US site that he would be shipping from UK and customer service would be from the US rep.
That would have been before mid December. Also The month of Dec has been a rough go with what transpired concerning regulations and such.

While i do LOVE these forums and all the wonderful personalities here, I don't have time to read every post by every user, or supplier.

That kind of information should be on the Supplier Website, were we place our orders and pay our money. It's all about disclosure. If I'd been told (on the order page) that these items were not in-stock and would be shipped from the UK then I would have had a choice. What about the people that don't read these forums?

I am not making excuses for them. I just think that if you were "waiting" for the US site to open you would only know about that from the thread that announced it.

Actually, I didn't follow the thread after the initial announcement. I bookmarked the website and checked it every few days until I found it open and functional. Again, I feel disclosure should happen on the supplier website since that's where the point of sale takes place. Anything less feels like the old "bait and switch".

that's the 2nd whine i've read tonight made by a user with less than 30 posts about a well respected and decent supplier.

Sort matters with the supplier first before posting public, or at least read up on the forums about what a sellers rep is like.

Jason is a pioneer in making e-liquid safe and regulated and accepted by the authorities, he's dealing with an awful lot of legal ramblings at the moment and managing to keep us supplied with the goods.

    Rant over

I wasn't aware that I had to have a certain number of posts to be an informed consumer, or that post count reduced my right to sound off on these forums, and that it limited the value of my hard earned dollar. I was under the impression that this community was open to both the good reviews and the bad.

What gave you the impression that I did not "read up" on the reputation of this particular supplier, or try to work it out with them first? If you actually read my post you'd see that I did contact them, once by phone and once by email.

TW has had very good reviews on these forums, which is why I had high expectations from the USA branch of the business.

Yet AGAIN, disclosure .. disclosure .. disclosure. If I'd wanted to wait weeks for my product to come from the UK, I would have purchased it from the UK Site, not the USA site. At no time, either during my order, or at confirmation was I informed that the items were shipping from the UK. It wasn't until I called that I was informed of this, and by then it was too late. How would you feel if you ordered from Wicked UK, and they shipped it from Wicked USA, and instead of taking a few days it takes a few weeks?
