I OD'ed last night
This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me. I was sitting around the house just relaxing and vaping away. Wasn't really thinking about it much, every now and then I'd take a few puffs. I had been taking hydrocodone 750mg for my tooth (just had some work done at the dentist) so I had that in my system too. Hydrocodone is a pain killer and can make you dizzy just by itself. I took a few more puffs (French Pipe 36) and out of nowhere I break out into a sweat and my heart starts feeling like it's speeding up and I get really dizzy. I suddenly felt REALLY hot like I was about to pass out. I pulled my shirt off, made my way to the sink and ran cold water over my head for a few minutes. I was breathing heavy and my breathing felt restricted. I was just staring down at the sink like holy crap I hope this isn't going to make me pass out or worse. I was shaking a bit and really thought I was going to get sick. I believe the hydrocodone and increased level of nicotine in my system caused some kind of reaction. After about 10 minutes it passed... but it was a scary feeling.
Watch your nicotine intake, especially if you're taking any kind of pain medication. I don't think the nicotine itself caused this, I think it was a combination of the pain killer and nicotine. I'll definitely be more careful from now on.

I still don't know how you guys vape 36mg. Be careful Bastage, maybe cut it with some VG for a few days. Hope everything turns out fine.

Stuff like these made me drop my nicotine down, 36mg sure hits good but all the scary stories and I just had to go to 24mg!

I had a similar reaction, however I wasn't taking any pain pills or using Nicotine carts. I am wondering if mine was a PG reaction.

thanks bastage, there might be a commonality then with the people who have said e-cigs are not for them and mentioned some similar symptoms. maybe they are also taking some kind of medication that reacts badly with this form of nicotine or exaggerates its effects anyway. 36 is strong, but if you were already used to it I wonder if the strength is a factor. others who have had problems weren't necessarily vaping 36. hope you're feeling better at any rate.

Painkillers and nicotine do react. Some time ago I had an opiate of sorts prescribed for pain. I was a smoker then. As soon as the pain subseded enought for me to get up from the bed (and the other pleasant opiate feelings kicked in, too
) I went to have a smoke. I did not even finish it. I spent the rest of the day vomiting, sweating, feeling incredibly cold and generally regretting I had the opiate.
I went to the doctor as soon as I could and asked for different medication as this was unbearable. She prescribed me Flamexin, anothe opiate, but allegedly very different to the original one. The story just repeated itself after my first cig with that substance in my system.
That was with a 0.8 mg cigarette. Be careful with that axe, Eugene.

Odd, I had something like that happen last night about 10:00PM EST. I was light headed and felt very odd. I had been vaping away but had just switched over to Zero nic. juice. I just hung it up and went to bed and felt fine today. Seems like something like this happened once before. I didn't even give it a thought until I read this... Odd...

I had a similar experience. I was puffing on high nicotine for about twenty minutes straight in front of the computer, just didn't realize how long i'b been puffing when I was hit with a head rush, felt swimmy. I did feel fine about an hour later. Just an overdose of nicotine.

Glad you're okay Bastage.. and thanks for the warning! When I ordered our e-cig supplies I didn't get any of the lower nic liquids, so going to order some lower & zero so we can use a lower nic most of the time.
