What about dse801 VS. rn4072?
I agree. The "real" DSE901's I've got are not great. Also, its own batteries are worse, as they don't seem to provide as much power as the RN series ones, even straight out of the charger. If you've got both types try the difference...
Penstyles are a different story - the DSE801 is fine IMO.

I really like the DSE801 pen atomizers..far better than the RN4072 which I used for several months..and lasting longer ..
even when I boil weekly - it returns to perfection..(for now at least!)

OK, now I'm confused. I bought a Classic Penstyle from Puresmoker. I emailed them to ask what the model# is so I could order carts and atomizers elsewhere if they were out. Daniel emailed me back and said it was the same as the DSE801 and the RN 4072. After reading the above post I tried looking for the letters and I think I have the RN4072. Has this changed in the 2 months since this was originally posted or did I get misinformation from Daniel? I need some carts and atomizers for my penstyle. Who else besides Puresmoker carrys parts for this. Thank you in advance.

you can score the better deal and use the atomizers from ruyandirect with the batteries from puresmoker without any problems. But if you are going to use a usb passthrough then I suggest searching for thread I made about that.
