I miss being younger and just not giving a **** about the health issues of smoking. But my nicotine addiction is being taken care of well enough with e-cigs, and if they get banned I’d be on the gum which I’m quite fond of.

I don't know that I consider analogs to be so "hassle-free" as some of the things I'm NOT missing is the mess, the "oops, ash on my shirt" scenario, the dropping a chunk of lit stuff while driving and knowing it's smoldering down there by my feet somewhere, trying to clean the crap out of my car, driving up to the smoke shop only to find out they are sold out of my favorite brand, realizing I'm low on smokes at midnight and having to make a mad dash to the store and pay a premium, standing outside in the cold/rain/snow. Quite a hassle if you ask me. Now, that said, you do reliably get smoke when you light one and yes I've had my fair share of pull-my-hair-out moments with the e-cigs, but all in all, especially now that I'm hooked to USB and have some back-up supplies around, I think it's less hassle. Definitely less mess.

Not sure yet. I just began vaping on Saturday, and only smoked 3 analogs that day and none since then(huge thing for me). I took my first trip out today, and it felt odd not lighting up in the car, before and after my appointments, ect. I think it's going to take a while to get used to it,but I felt happy that I didn't need to stand in the cold, open my car window, stink when I got out of the car, ect. I think I'll get used to it, but there are the habits that we all have that need to be adjusted. It's weird to not use the analogs to "time" things like I have in the past, like what I listed above and more. I will miss going out to have a analog when I was bored or sick of a situation, ect.

I really enjoyed smoking. I liked the ritual of going outside on a nice night for a smoke. I enjoyed that first cigarette in the morning. I loved the smell of a freshly lit cigarette.

What I did not enjoy was having to FIT smoking in during the day. I did not like having to sneak one in between flights. Having to go through security at the airport many extra times just because I had to go outside.
Getting crazy by the end of a long flight, because it had been 6 hours since my last cigarette.
Not liking the smell of smoking rooms, having to go outside the hotel in the freezing winters just to get my nicotine.
I hated smelling of smoke. My clothes. My hands. My breath.

I know that everyone on this board has different lifestyles and different reasons for switching to e cigs. But what was your experience?

What do you miss? What do you not miss? Do you miss the analogs?

I realize now that I don't. Life is much simpler now. I feel great. I don't smell like an ash tray. I can still enjoy sitting outside with my e cig and enjoy life.

    Tell me what you think?

I agree on missing the not being able to "time" things. For years I've been "I'll have a smoke and then go do x". It feels weird because I still think it, but then I'll take a couple drags off the e-cig and then go do whatever, and realize that I just saved some time

I miss nothing about cigarettes -- nothing.

It's the 21st century -- smoke is so 20th century, man.

I'm on the vapour trail and I'm not going back!

In a few days it will be 4 months without real tabacco. About a month ago i was drinking with some people, definitely well on the way to "drunk", and for a moment i contemplated smoking a real cigarette. It was definitely tempting, while my e-cig was overheated and unsatisfiying, and my mouth was not really tasting it. That's about the only time i got the urge to smoke just one cigarette (let's not count the first days when a cartridge was supposed to last like a pack of cigarettes...). Wait, to be fair sometimes when i am with a smoker i pick up one of his cigarettes and smell it, for the sake of it.

But i guess smoking a real one every now and then is acceptable, right? I still got that emergency packet of Malboro lights (4 months and still wrapped), and i like the idea of writing on it the dates of the cigarettes used...

I hate hassling with these damn e-cigs. Even if it's fun sometimes lol. When I smoked it was easy...grab my pack and lighter and off I go. Now it's - Grab my case, make sure e-liquid is there, make sure extra battery & atomizer is there, grab an extra cart too! But wait the vape from USB is better. Grab USB and battery pack. Stand there contemplating which one to bring. ...... it, bring both...cuz ya never know.

I don't miss analogs. I don't miss the taste, the smell, the coughing, the tightness in my chest, etc. I miss the convenience. That's all.

I am no longer a slave to sticking a burning object in my mouth and sucking!

Today is my 1 month anniversary. I do not miss analogs at all!

I prefer to vape. It has a slight sweetness and it's smooth. In the morning, I use 24 mg. 16 mg the rest of the day. (analogs never tasted good)

At work, somethimes I take a break and go outside with my analog smoker friends. They smoke while I vape. Other times I go to the restroom and vape. The vape smell is virtually undetectable - now that's freedom.

    Hey Rainbow...
I used to think it was inconvenient until I found this travel pack...
    Travel Case: (APC) USB battery

Now, I carry it with me whever I go, and I have everything I need.

    Hope this helps.

Congrats on the one month, Peachette!

My problem with the "take a break" aspect is that I now come to the computer (USB) instead of going outside. Then I log in here. Next thing I know, I've been vaping and "taking a break" for half an hour. Ooops! LOL!
