Oi, you people in Florida are making my brain hurt, If it was in the 30's I would be outside in shorts and a T-shirt
It's been 3 weeks now since the temp has gone above the freezing point
Yesterday it was 17, and all anyone could talk about was how nice it was

As Sam Kinison told starving desert dwellers, "You live in a blankety-blank desert. Move where the food is." Same can be said of people who don't like cold weather, but live in it. I hate cold. I wouldn't move to a cold climate if someone offered me lottery winnings to do so.
Move where the warmth is!
On second thought. Florida is getting crowded. Stay put. And bundle up.

I am originally a Hoosier. When we first moved here, we were shocked that no-one was outside when it was 50 degrees. We sat out on our porch and smoked our ciggies and watched the stars and had the entire night all to ourselves.
I have turned into a big fat suck. I can't go outside without a coat on when it is under 65. I might need to head back north for a bit

Mr Kinison has a point, TB. Sorry to hear about your tomatoes, Lacey. Tomatoes in England in January would be an impossibility - I won't even start on bananas. If you get some horticultural fleece or a cloche then you could pop it on your lettuce when cold snaps are forecast.

True I could move some place warm, that's not really the point
It's like waiting in the hospital with a severed limb with a guy next to you complaining about a paper cut
I'm not complaining, I think it's best just not to talk about it, people have it way worse then me, last week Fargo was -30 (not including wind chill)

That scares me
