APC Made a Mobile Battery pack with a Usb output. Perfect for the passthroughs
They no longer make them but can be found at fry's online.
But there are other one's on ebay also see link above
I have used the wall adapter with an extension cord attached to just vape on the couch now too instead of battery pack. Works just as good.

Where can people from the UK get one at a reasonable price? 1.6amp output makes this a beast!!

Superstack,
You better go read the other forum about APC POWERPACK ON SALE. They said do not vap while charging. This may tear the unit up.

Don't do this:
1)Plug in the charger cable to the computer and then to the apc battery but the big thing is
Don't plug in the USB Passthrough battery to it and Vape.
I think this is what caused mine to go banana's
I really have no other idea of what caused it to go bad other than this.

I did read that rejoice, but mine is plugged into the wall though, not the PC.
And even with the PC, it may have just been a defective unit - difficult to say for sure if the USB port would fry it like that.
But in any event, I don't think an AC plug would present any problems.

You can also use the USB passthrough directly to the wall adapter instead of using it through the cable to the wall through the battery.

Agreed Dan, that's something I mentioned in another thread actually. I'm looking at buying a long USB extension cord in order to vape directly from the socket so as to not put any unnecessary wear on the APC device itself.
I've also been vaping directly from the USB on my computer as well, but am not so sure if that's such a hot idea long-term. I like the idea of an AC power source much better.

BTW I'm simply floored at how quickly this charges, only took 2 1/2 hours

Fry's
I just got mine today from fry's. the cost was only 14.99. Shipping options were 6.93 for UPS, or 9.?? for 2day shipping. Thinking Fry's was in AZ or CA I chose the 2 day for the extra $3. Well I ordered it yestarday morning at 6:30 a.m. and it arrived today!! I was so surprised and happy. Charged it, and so far it's working like a charm. It came from Ohio. Either way, for $25 total and to have it next day I am very happy and highly recommend Fry's.
Funny thing, as I am writing this I just got an email from fry's. It says my item has been shipped lol.

I tell you, you add one or two of these things with a few usb pass throughs (upt's) and a usb car adapter, the original batteries are used very little if at all. Plus, at home, I have the upt's plugged into a pc and laptop and can move around between all of them (once my power pack goes dead).
My original intention was to use this power pack 24/7, even when I'm out and about, just to see how long it lasts, but I just keep it in my pocket while shopping, working in the garage, fishing and everthing else.
I don't know when I would use the original battery again?????
I just got my APC today and is on charge, however, my original one, pictured here, is still going. it is now 7 days and down to 1/2 charge and has the power equal to plugging it into my pc.
My vaping habit is a couple of hits every few minutes or so, througout the day.
