801 atomizer break-in ?

Just got my first 801. At first the vapor production was pretty weak, but I'm noticing after using it a little longer that the vapor production keeps getting better. It doesn't put out as much vapor as my 901, but as mentioned it's improving with use, and the 901 is cheating because I'm not using a standard battery on it.. I think the 801 will be worthy of a mod or two... I really dig the shiny black penstyle. Has anyone ever seen atomizers start off "meh" and get better?

I found my 801's had a really awful taste and not much vapour at first. They get better. The taste is the main thing, I've not normally noticed primer liquid, never felt I had to comment on it, but I certainly noticed THIS one.

When I got my first 801, I had hardly any vapor.....but I didn't mind as long as I was getting the throat hit. Then, quite accidentally, I tried a 4 hole atomizer. That made all the difference in the world as far as vapor (for me anyway).

I also notice a little primer puff first seems to "warm" it for a larger cloud next.

I have been using them since last November and they tend to do great at first with only a little diminising. They work great and then just die for no apparent reason right out of the clear blue--I blame a lot of the failure on that cleaning cycle in the battery! I switched to the USB passthough and get a much longer life. But they still die with no fair warning--a great hit and then nothing--the mystery of China?????????/
