Thumbs up Followup on Johnson Creek’s New Ingredient Labeling

When I posted that Johnson Creek was now listing all of their ingredients, some Members here, as well as myself, wondered what the letter and number meant on the bottom of the bottle. I said that I would e-mail them and followup . They did in fact respond very quickly by stating that these embossings are not connected with Johnson Creek or their products in any way. They think that they are simply product codes from the bottle manufacturers and have nothing to do with their product.

With reference to their new full disclosure ingredients label they replied that they were really pretty proud and believe that transparency is not only important but, should be a given, for any company who truly has their customer's well-being at heart and that one would expect no less from a bottle of ketchup or can of soda.

I whole hardly concur with Johnson Creek’s stance and contend that this type of full disclosure is a huge step in the right direction for all of us. A full thumbs up for Johnson Creek!!–Sun

That would hopefully be the direction that we are headed in now that Johnson Creek has stepped up to the Plate. --Sun

I am not dissing JC in anyway when I ask this. But do we know if the labels are accurate? Are they making their juice from scratch? I ask because when I google map (street view) their address its just a residence, and from what you good folk have stated, handling liquid nicotine is very very dangerous and should be done in lab settings. So if they are getting product from elsewhere, have we verified the ingredients in any of the juices so far?

Again, the above is NOT an accusation, just genuine questions of curiosity. Just seems among all this paranoia running rampant on both sides of this issue, I guess we need to be sure we know whats in it.

But if JC is accurately listing the ingredients, then hat off to them for a stand up job.

Maybe this will help you from their website:

At Johnson Creek, we make three very important promises to you:

First, we make our Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice by hand one master batch at a time (60-64 FL OZ) and no batch, regardless of flavor, is kept for more than 48 hours. Ever. Further, we don't use chemicals you can’t pronounce just to artificially bolster our recipes that we should otherwise be able to make with completely safe ingredients. Whena you receive your delivery, you can be assured that the product is extremely fresh and of the highest quality. We’re kind of fanatical about that and after all, we’re making it for ourselves too!

That is good enough for me--Hope that helps--Sun
