This is the wierdest thing... I have a 901 (white) atomizer that just does not want to work well with either of my battery mods, but works great with USB. I have a Husky 18650 powered battery, and a Screwdriver Clone that work like a charm on every other atomizer, but this one just doesn't want to work right unless it's plugged into USB. The only thing I can come up with is that it works well using 4.8v from my USB port but 3.7v from the batteries won't operate it. It would normally be considered a bad atomizer but since it works like a charm with USB I'll just use it on the wire. lol Thought that might be of interest to anyone that gets an atomizer that barely works on batteries and has a USB cable available to them. I was getting mad because I thought both of my battery mods had broken. This atomizer just requires a little more horsepower than most.

I had a similar problem with an 801 atomizer. After I used it on a USB passthru it quit working with 5 out of 6 of my batteries!!!??? After it happened to a second atomizer, I realized that the center contact on the USB was slightly taller than the 5 batts. I think that screwing it in the USB "pushed" down the center contact on the atomizer just enough to prevent proper contact with the batteries. |
