I just received my package from a Chinese Supplier, I ordered some extra batteries and an atomizer for my DSE801. The problem is it tastes like I'm inhaling pure metal, very disgusting. Should I drip some juice in the atomizer to get this metallic taste out of it?

What I found very weird was when I opened the package, both batteries where flashing, I can't believe that didn't raise concerns going thru customs, nobody thought it was a bomb? I will try flooding the atomizer, thanks for the idea Sun. I flooded the atomizer a few times, put about 10 big drops on the ATM each time and I'm still getting a disgusting metal taste, like smoking a brillo pad. Maybe I should soak the ATM in juice overnight? Could this cause any harm? |

metal tasting from the get go = possible baddy. I would say about 1/2% of atomizers taste like that from the get go and never get any better .... nasty taste! if flooding doesn't work, the trash can is the next best thing ![]() good luck

I should have known $8 for an atomizer was too good to be true. I'm getting an unbelievable amount of vapor off it too.

Boil it for a minute or two to clean it out good. Blow it out through both ends after boiling it. Prime it up with 6 or 7 drips then start taking short quick puffs till you start getting vapor. If it still taste nasty after that then it may be a bad atomizer.

I was able to get a lot of vapor right from the start, it just tastes awful, I flushed it with water and also flooded with juice a few times. I primed it with a lot of puffs and its still nasty tasting. I'll try boiling it now. |

mad i can contest to this the batts flashing on arrival might mean the batts shorted out. that shorted out circuit smell has been soaked into your device. or your using those batts and they have contamanted your atomisers there is no hope once that happens. get the whole thing replaced if you can |

Finally got my 901B today and it's the same way, absolutely vile! Dunno if it's the primer or what. Tried rinsing and flooding and it made it better (at least now I dont gag and nearly throw up) but still tastes god-awful. It's sort of a combo of metallic and burnt plastic taste. Surely that's not normal for these? One I tried that person I know has tasted nothing like this. Course, he was smoking french pipe flavor, but didnt have this funky, nasty taste. |
