Default Debating on trying an E-cig..?

Hello. I've been reading up on various models and I've come to the conclusion that the NJoy would probably be the best model to get.. but I'm a little reluctant to drop down 100$ for something I've never tried. I was debating getting the E-cig's starter pack for the full length cigarette model (https://........../shopping/shopexd.asp?id=31) to see if I would want to eventually purchase the NJoy. I'm not a heavy smoker (about half a pack a day) and smoke Camel Menthol lights. the thing with the e-cigs is the shipping for me, NJoy seems like it would be the better investment. I'm moving to Toronto, ON where cigarettes are 5$ upwards for the cheapest packs so overall it would still be alot cheaper and they offer free shipping currently to NA. With shipping just for the starter pack it's almost 60$ for the e-cig. And overall either way I'm going to be saving a LOT in comparison to what the prices are. I just want people's opinion's on both as well as shipping times.

The E-cig starter pack is a good choice for 1st time users in my opinion to see if they will like e-smoking.

However, keep in mind that you will get very frustrated because the batteries do not hold a charge very long and it seems like you are charging more than you are smoking. I would suggest buying 2 starter kits, because you will then have 4 batteries to play with instead of only 2.

I started out on the E-cig starter pack then went on to buy (2) Jantys and (2) NJOYs, which I enjoy very very much.

Right now, about the best price anywhere is dealextreme.com. As I write this, I'm using a DealExtreme mini cig. It came in a box of two mini cigs, with 10 cartridges and a charger for $36 (free shipping). One battery went bad immediately and I was quickly refunded $18. I have no idea how long this unit will last, but at least I don't have $100 or more spent on something I might not like for long. Who knows?

At least with these devices, you'll find out what e-smoking is like (not like cigarette smoking). And you'll find out if you personally like it for all its many benefits. I'm sure more money buys higher quality -- but do you need that for your introduction?

As the TB and Dnakr said, it just depends whether you have the money to spend. I found the e-cig died pretty quickly, but it was certainly enough to get me sold on the whole thing.

I've decided to try out the deal extreme's package to see if I like it or not. -smiles- Or rather, to see how long it takes me to get used to it. It's not really an option at this point to continue smoking as heavily as I do; while I can go up to a week inbetween packs, I get.. extremely cranky to be around without my nicotine fix. I -enjoy- smoking (just like everyone else here does i assume?) but i want my health to improve. If I like this model and it works out for me I'm definatly going to get an Njoy it's a little more expensive than the crown7 model but they seem to be very good with their customers from what I have read here and on other sites reviewing them as well. I appreciate everyone's advice. Thank you ^_^\

Edit: Okay, so I'm neurotic and can't sleep and sometimes--that's a really good thing! Ruyan is offering their new 'mini cig' model for 38$ (a whopping 1$ discount). I've also heard alot about this company but had trouble finding any decent offers except on ebay which had insane charges. So far, the cost of their refills is the cheapest I have found for the amount. 50 cartridges for 20$ with no shipping? O.o Has anyone tried this model/company? I'm concerned because I've heard about fake Ruyan's/ripoff models and i'm not sure if this website is legit or not. although ruyanchina.com's got a link to the same product through a different seller for the same price also. ruyanchina is an official seller for it isn't it? I dunno. Just wary of buying something that's going to break

Yeah, I don't think that mini is made by Ruyan - that website is just selling them in addition to their Ruyan stock. From what I can make out the Ruyan is only the V8 - all other models are made by different manufacturers with a massive variation in quality.

    Hope this helps!

eeh yeah i figured as much, haha. I'm going to check out the dealextreme offer to see if i'm going to like it or not. I really can't afford to be too picky, I want to do it for my health but i don't want to give up smoking so this should be a workable medium--even if it just means i cut back on my normal cig consumption. I want to switch over completely if I like it. And if it works out.. I'm going to get an Njoy or one the Janty. I appreciate the answers

I think the Dealextreme mini is the 1st generation. How to see, you look at the atomizer end..

The metallic heating element is all around..

The newer generation, the heating element is a V-shape, which in my opinion, will provide better heating effect..

I think you're right that the DealExtreme Health mini cig is first generation, but so what? That explains its low price. This technology is changing so rapidly that I bet our best models today will be antiques in half a year. These things are brand new, with high failure rates and somtimes poor satisfaction. That will change. I'll start as cheaply as I can, then throw Big Bucks at a model that seems to satisfy everyone, with lots of vapor, every time, and a 5-year warranty.
