Yeah, I know a lot of guys like that. I'm actually just a hair under 6' (so I say 6' so as not to have to break out the tape measure all the time) but I know some little short guys that pack a lot of dynamite.

My buddy Rick is like 5'6 and close to 200 pounds, pretty much all muscle.

Imagine meeting THAT in a dark alley........

    No thanks. Hahaha.

I do some Muay Thai and JKD myself, but I like being the "sleeper" when it comes to looking tough. Everyone wants to pick a fight with the tough-looking guy.. happens every time we all go out, someone is drunk and out to prove something. You ever get that?

Nah, I don't. I'm a bouncer by night and everyone in the area I live / hang out in knows that so they tend to be pretty friendly. I've had people approach me with that attitude in the past, though. They tend to learn pretty quickly that the big guy in the group might actually be the "sleeper".

Judo, jujutsu, Muay Thai and Moo Duk Kwon (Soo Bahk Do). I also have a black belt in Ching-Ching-POW.

    Good to meet you

Lol. Wow I can't believe I heard the word "unlikely" so many times in this post. Honestly, the story can be believed or not. But it did happen. Naturally I am not giving out names, because I do preach this site to friends. I just wanted some "too nice-type people" to be really damn cautious!

Thanks alot Kate. I been a forum lurker since December, so I read tons of posts by pretty much everyone. Your posts are always meaningful and full of insight. Its obvious you touched many with your words. What I'm trying to say is that I do have alot of respect for you and oddly enough your judgment (must be the combo with the Nun avatar hehe) Have to admit though, the first posts on this thread did disheartened me a bit Thank you again

Thanks, there are quite a few good and sensible posters on this forum, I think it's a pretty solid community at the moment.

When a forum gets a bit busy, as this one has, it can be hard not to be dismissive of posts sometimes and we all can have ratty moments. Don't let that discourage you, your posts are good. This topic is important and it's true, we can spread infections by sharing mouthpieces. Something like the herpes virus is a very serious business.

Someone I didn't know once asked me to light a cig for her and I took it and put it in my mouth. Then I realised that it was damp, she had had it in her mouth already and there was saliva on it. Well I gagged, literally, I could not keep it in my mouth and light it. Yuk!

Is that you in your avatar? If it is you, you have a nice friendly face

Your absolutley right, there are alot of helping hands here and its so nice to know that there are nice people who are always willing to help without asking anything in return really. The words "solid community" are definatley dead on
Oh my god, A complete stranger?! Thats so um I want to say terrifying? not to mention disgusting, ugh How can someone do that?? I mean, can they not notice if...or not even care? God I hope there was no bad results from that! A disease reminds me of "the frighteners", you know, with the numbers over heads... I remember a long time ago my Dad gave me a cigarette that was damp lol I beleive we shared the same reaction, but from a stanger ;(
I love big smiles! Thats when you know its authentic
Yep thats me in the pic, thank you but apparently I get to friendly haha I always been curious what you look like, lol Well I'm sure nearly everyone has! ps. Don't let this sentance be the focal point, because I understand privacy can be rather golden
