Several HV mods use CR123 batts. There are both Protected and LiFePo4 versions of this battery that will provide you with a relatively safe HV experience. The Chuck, SB, GLV and Prodigy V2 are among those that use this battery. Once you go HV you can't go back.

Thx Pete, about how long of an estimate would you say the batts last before needing a recharge? And which of those you mentioned do you like the best? I'm guessing the SB?

I searched for days now for 'Protected' CR2s for the Super-Six. They just don't exist...
I'm gonna do a search on Mods that use 'Protected' batteries. I'm very curious what HV 'Protected' Mod everyone recommends tho!
madvapes.com has protected cr2s

I just read on another forum that there is a cr2 battery that is protected but it won't work properly with a normal atomizer. There is too much resistance in the regular atty. It also said that they do work fine with the HV attys which I would assume you would want to use anyway for 6v vaping. SmokeJuice - HOME is where I found them. I'm sure someone else sells them as well.

problem is that the super6 is made with certain tolerances that don't allow the use of the protected cr2s as the pcb adds to much length for them to fit..the maximum battery length is 67mm and the 2 protected cr2 batteries would be 69mm
Current PVs: Precise Plus 18650 10/7/11, Super6 3/13/10, eGo 1/23/10, 510 11/24/09, KR8 12/23/09 (shelved 1/10/10)...

The batts last me over 4 hours of moderate vaping. Concerning which of the mods I listed I'd recommend, that's a tough one because each has it's strengths and weaknesses.
The SB is great to hold and to look at. It works flawlessly, every time I hit the switch, which is nicely recessed to avoid accidental pocket vaping. It is, however large. Too large for me to carry around so it stays at home.
The Prodigy V2 looks great and the size is about as small as a CR123 equipped mod can be. Also, 5v is perfect. Great hits without burnt taste. The only negative (which caused me to sell mine) was a very poorly designed button that fires when it feels like firing. The new version apparently has fixed this issue. If I knew for sure that the new button would fire every time I pushed it I'd probably buy one.
I currently have a Chuck on order but have not tried one. From what I read Chuck owners are a very loyal group. You have to long and hard to find even the slightest complaint. I haven't used any other HV mods so those are my opinions on the ones I have.

I'll 'resurrect' this Thread - I just began vaping at 6 Volts a few days ago and love it. EJuice comes alive in my experience.
But I made a e-Hookah of sorts, similar to a USB PT. I also vape a BoxMod that has a single UltraFire 3,7 Volt protected battery in it. The e-Hookah is just using regular 'Energizer AA' batteries. But so if they explode, they are far enough away from me so I'm not really worried about it. I have a 2 foot wire on my e-Hookah...
