    Default Deal Extreme $10 E-cig

DealExtreme used to sell only a couple of brands of e-cigs. But, lately they seem to expand their offerings quite aggressively. I can't imagine how good the $10 starter kit with battery, charger, atty, and refill carts is. On the other hand, often I am amazed how cheap they can sell their products without even charging for the oversea shipping to US.

Has anyone here tried their stuff? Are their PV's good enough to compete with major brands? What the heck are they selling anyway? They don't look like something familiar (like DSE something something, etc).

I was wondering if they are continuing their expansion, which might put some pressure on the price of others.

Actually, we just got their $10 e-cig yesterday (this one DealExtreme: $10.00 Quit Smoking USB Rechargeable Electronic Cigarette with 6-Refills) and surprisingly, it works well. I wouldn't use it as first choice, but it would be nice in an emergency. So, no, I don't think it's good enough to compete with major brands (my preference is the 510), but nice to have around for back up.

The case is a charger (not a portable charger) with a USB connection. I don't know what model it is. It's about the size of a blu -- pretty small.

Here are some more reviews of the brand http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...cig-model.html

The juice is pretty nasty, though. I'm refilling the cartridges and putting the kit in my forgetful husband's lunchbox so he can have it when he forgets his 510. I see it as a disposable.

I have a few of the deal extremes. The one Deena mentions was my first, but I flooded the battery by dripping on my first evening and wrecked it! The other two I have work fine. One is an M401 knockoff, the other looks like a RN4081 knockoff. The juice is pretty gross, I'm planning to refill the carts. I consider them my emergency spares.

At the price though, they are best thought of as disposables. In the long run much better to spend a bit extra on a good kit to start with, you'll pay less in the end.

    Deena and Sheep,

Thanks for the info. I am just surprised that, at $10, they work at all. Their $11.72 (sku 18431) comes with wall charger, USB charger (cable), car charger, plus of course the battery, atty, refills, plus free shipping. Now talk about extreme. At that price, we can't even get a battery and have it shipped in US..

I was thinking it is a spare too. Just wondering how can they sell them so cheap? If they start selling little better PV, I would pay double their price.

When I order from Dealextreme again, I'm going to order a couple more. Shipping took a few weeks, but I find it hard to complain when it's free

Write a review when you receive your order. I'm curious to see if the performance is consistent.

I'm afraid to ask why they sell them so cheap.

u get what you paid for.
people complain about quality issues. hit and miss.
if you factor that in - may have to order several to get a good one - it may not be that great a deal... plus the wait isnt pleasant...

anyhow.... I have one and been lucky enough to get a good one. it got me started. I also feel they dont get the credit they deserve for doing the job when it works.

LOL. Tell that to the folks who bought SEs or any of the late night infomercial brands. Actually I find that the 510 or 901s or 808s are quite a bit cheaper and better than brands costing a lot more.

It's not that the Smoking Everywhere ones are terrible, they just cost 3 times what they should.

I wasn't saying they were bad (though I have heard very little good about them), I was saying that the price is far higher than vaping with a 510 or 901.
