Default Wick different in true 901 carts than in RN4075

Anybody notice the wick material is different in the true DSE901 carts than it is in the RN4075 carts? The real DSE901 carts wick the liquid much better than the RN4075 and they also work on the RN4075 atomizer just fine. I have been useing the 901 carts on my RN4075 atomizers for a couple weeks now.

I wish I knew what material is used in the 901 carts. The fibers are not "tight" for a lack of better words. When the fiber starts to get dry I pull it out and drop 8 to 10 drops into the cartridge then put the fiber back in and push it down to soak up the liquid. I pull it back up and leave just a little sticking above the plastic. When pushed down into the RN4075 atomizer the bridge makes great contact with the material. You can smoke the real 901 cartridge till it it completely dry unlike the RN4075 cartridge.

im gonna take a guess here.... my m401 uses a looser fiberfill type of batting, where my rn 4075 uses more of a "foam" looking material similar to the fishtank filter looking stuff. im guessing the true 901 uses the batting material like the 401, as 401's are known to wick better than 901's(rn type). maybe we can get more input on this since i dont have both 901 types....

Jimgman--you are right on point. It goes to the density of the batting. The 401 and the true 901 cores use a less dense polyester filling (20oz) compared to the RN's. The more dense--the less wicking as the core does not allow for wicking as well as it "holds' the liquid rather then letting it flow--Hope that helps--Sun
