    Question DSE-901 tight... please advise

I ordered the DSE-901 for both my neighbor, her grand-daughter, daughter and myself. The shipment arrived.

I had to take a wrench to get the initial mouthpiece plug out on all of the atomizers. When I put a cart. in, I have to thump it slightly with the same wrench. And, removing the cart., I have to wiggle and pull for a long difficult time or else I have to use the wrench with the mouthpiece protected with a slight cushion of paper towel.

    Is this normal?

I'm about to lose my mind now because my neighbor is about 87yrs old and about 90 pounds and is blind. She'll never be able to loosen these. Any tips and tricks as to how to make the cart. easier to remove and replace.

I also don't want to bother the supplier if this problem can be solved with a post here at the forum.

Any and all advise would be grately appreciated.

I, too, ordered a set of replacement cartridges that didn't fit my 901. The cartridges that came with the kit were perfect, but all my replacements were hell to get on and off.

I should think that you could take some fine sand paper and LIGHTLY sand around the neck of the atomizer until the cart fits. Don't remove too much.

I'd try several carts first to make sure you just don't have a bad cart.

If you don't want to mess with the atomizer, understandable, try wrapping the sandpaper around a pencil or some other object that will fit snugly inside the cart and spin it until the cart fits better. Remember, sneak up on it.

If it is a mis-sized batch of carts, the next shipment might fit perfect. If you sand the atomizer, the next shipment of carts could be too loose.

This is not a problem. Other atomizers or carts are loosy and others are the opossite. It depends. If you search the forum you will see tricks for the problem.

    And welcome

You can solve this problem by widening the mouth of the atomizer a bit. Find a sturdy hardwood table (or something similar)n Now line up the bottom edge of the cart (nearest the atomizer) with the edge of the table top. With a moderate amount of pressure pressing against the top of the cart and the bottom of the atomizer with downward force, slowly roll the device one time. If this doesn’t make it looser on the first revolution repeat. Remember to remove the battery before attempting this and to be very careful not to apply too much pressure. If done improperly it can cause the cart to become too loose.
I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask. -Devon

Those are all wonderful solutions for those capable, really they are, but she did say for her 87 year old blind neighbor too.

Unless MonkeyMonk is willing to make it a life-long job futzing with stuff for other people, shouldn't she should just return it, and find a seller who can send her carts and cigs that match? Or get one of the Janty clones, or M401 models instead?

    Just a thought...

Default Thanks!... Still needing help and ideas

Devon, You lost me... like, totally lost me... can you retry explaining this to me. Is the cart attached to the atomizer? Is the atomizer (battery end) on the table?

Is the "tube" in a verticle or horizontal position, if verticle how do I roll it?
    ... I am so lost...

RjG, thanks for the reminder that I got to find a way to address this in a one-time fashion. I hope I don't have to return it, the DSE-901 is so much better and lighter than the penstyle and it's making a more satisfying vapor.

I ordered a ton of carts. and the equivalent of 4+ kits... I think this is a problem with all but it works so nice other than this, I would really hope to fix the issue without requesting a return.

8-Ball, I don't have any sandpaper, but I'm going to try a strip of emery board.

D_Struct, by any chance did you get yours today?

And thank you, all for helping me!!!

Please anyone who can think of anything or post links to other post, I would be most grateful!

Here is what I mean when I said how to hold it.

Press it against the table while rolling it along. doing this will widen to atomizer a tiny bit.

ugh... monkey did you by any chance get your 901 from puresmoker? i'm having the same problem as you!!! this is SO f'n frustrating...

i can't frickn take the carts in or out without a fight (i managed to get one in, don't think i'll be able to get it out without a wrench- seriously), i'm seriously upset.

i tried the "rolling" idea, no such luck.

wtf, i'm majorly pissed. plus i'm not jazzed about the throat hit. it produces a lot of vapor yet i feel like in inhaling air.

i may have spoiled my self by starting w/ a penstyle as my first e-cig, but so far this 901 gets two very red (from pulling on the damn carts) thumbs down!!

except for appearance (its quite pretty )

i'm going to email PS tomorrow for some advice on where to go from here- i really don't want to have to wait again, after the 7 days it took to get it... hopefully they are aware of the issue and can advise on how to fix it w/o a return.

if you find a solution please let me know

my janty has the same problem, super tight not wrench tight but really tight. I took a dremel with the light stone ( one shaped like a roll of toilet paper ) and lightly went around the atomizer till the carts slid in.
Now I hope I didnt get a batch of too small carts! I guess I could always tap the sides of the atom in a little if the next batch is too loose.
