These are to be used with higher voltage PV that use more than 3.7 so you don't burn up your atomizers as quickly

FYI - Rob (aka halopunker) owner of altsmoke is my son and I will plug his business whenever I can! I am in no way affiliated with his company other than being his mom. I also buy from other vendors and try to be fair in all my recommendations.

    The High Voltage 510 Atomizer.
The average Ω(ohm )rating for an ordinary 510 is 3.0Ω This atomizer in particular rates at 3.5Ω, therefore giving you the ultimate sensation closest to real smoking as possible paired with 5-6 volts of power. This atomizer gives you sensation like no other. Full Flavor, Full feeling, The 510HV will not steer you wrong.
(Recommended for 5-6 volts) (NOT Recommended for Dripping purposes, Please use properly filled cartridge)

    High Voltage 510 Atomizer

I take no credit for any of this information. It was found on google.

I have used conventional atomizers on 3.7 and 5v mods with no problem. It is when you go 6 or 7.2 v that you need to get a high voltage atomizer. Please note there are separate atomizers for 6v and 7.2v.

Please also note that I have purchased hv atomizers from eastmall and they are pure crap!

Hmmm. Could someone suggest a good 5v mod? One that doesnt look like a box or anything stupid?

Also, I just ordered a passthrough, does that vape at 5v or 3.7v?

    Thanks again people..

The only one I would suggest to you is the GLV, I do not trust the switches on the Prodigy models from pure smoker, there have been a lot of complaints about them.
