    Default Passthrough to electrical outlet

I'm looking for something to plug in my e-cig usb passthrough directly to an electrial outlet in case I have to send my computer in for repair. I tried a search on the forum and all I find are chargers. I don't want to have to depend on the e-cig battery or my computer. Can anyone help?

I don't think such a thing exists. I don't know if I'd want to be toking on something with liquid in it to be plugged in to AC current. Of course there would be a transformer involved but it still sounds a little dangerous.

This thing works for the UK, I'm sure you can get a US version - DealExtreme: $4.28 1000mA USB AC Adapter (UK)

Yeah, they exist for sure. I have one from my old pda that I'm planning on using to connect my usb passthrough to the wall outlet (also have a connection for the cigarette lighter).

Why not just a powered USB hub? I bought this one and use it all the time, as my laptop's USB ports don't work with my USB passthrough.

    D-Link 4-port powered USB hub

Janet, yes many people use USB power adapters. Just make sure to get one with at least 1A or 1000mA output, as they come with less than that and those won't work. Here's an example of one that would work, from Cables To Go - AC to USB Power Adapter, but there are many to choose from:

I too am scared to stick something in my mouth that is attached to an electrical outlet....but, if you are brave, this set looks handy:

    USB AC+Car Charger+Cable For iPhone 3G/Ipod Video Mini - eBay (item 260369366379 end time Mar-06-09 19:08:19 PST)

I have the car plug with only 700 Ma and it works great. (sticking this in my mouth wasn't as scary)! This one has 1000, and if you don't want a set, there are tons of them on Ebay.

With car adapters, some can be coaxed into providing more amps than they can supply and thats a good thing sure it'll last 8 years instead of 10 but whos gonna be vaping current tech then? USB batteries, the ones I have tried unfortunately are different, both my Powermonkey and chinese Powerkhan are incapable of powering the e-cig with good enough throat hit will the Kensington be better? I dunno but I intend to find out!!
