usb passthrough plugged into wall charger

i plugged my passthru into a usb wall charger and every time i go to draw the batt just flashes 3 times. the output is 5.0v and 1000mA so i don't know what the deal is

then it's most likely that charger. i tried 3 different brands all with the same rating until i found one that worked.

just one i had for my mp3 so i thought i would give it a try.

Then the wall charger is meant to charge batteries only. Not power devices instead of a battery.

there are different types. the one i have (that works) is supposed to power an ipod deck of some sort. 2 USB outlets. it works fine.

The USB Wall Adapter is Defective (low output from overuse or just cheap internals) and/ or Over Rated (False Ratings For Marketing Purposes, Yes This Is Frequent Issue, They Write Anything On Them for Ratings but Not the Actual Output...).

You may test or find you can power or charge your MP3 Player (except Zune, Zune requires 1.5 mA) to see it works.

I have one that works and one that doesn't. Nothing printed on either unit gives me a clue why this is.

Flashes 3 times is usually lack of power, an iPod charger is an ideal powersupply for the USB passthrough, great throat hit and no fruity MP3 players in sight! It gives out 1 amp.
