Got news for you guys...This is seeming to be a prominent issue with pilot batteries. I'm still getting 8-10 from my Evo genie batteries and 5-ish from my might atom batteries. Steve has been notified that there's a problem but denies it and dodges the issue (at least with me and a couple of my friends he has). He claims that it's normal for them to switch on from being picked up (He says that if he grabs a handful of them, they'll light up). I don't think this is normal. On the good side, you barely have to hit them to get them to vape up. On the bad side, the life expectancy is crap. This is not proper for a 401. I, for one, am getting a bit tired of getting the run-around and am looking for another supplier for batteries. I like his atomizers but...I won't risk getting crap batteries that he refuses to replace. |

I have this with all 8 of my EVO batteries, that the LED temporarily lights on movement. They all arrived doing that in the starter kit box. The minute I went to pick them out of the box, they also flashed for a second. They do the same thing in the storage box where I keep my charged-up spares. I lift the box and the LEDs flash. Seems mine only do that with they tap something, like the box they came in or the box I store them in. As I have it with all of them, I assumed it was normal. My Pilot batteries, which I received yesterday and have charged up, don't seem to do this - yet, I haven't had them long enough to really find out. |

Also forgot to mention that my shorter battery is bent. It wobbles when I roll it across the table. This doesnt bother me at all but it sure is bent a little. Anyway I guess I will have to pick up a couple extra 401 batts and a usb charger so I have more than 1 charger going at a time. Other than that it works well and I like it. Not sure I can say I like it any more or less than my 901. The 901 gives more vapor and a stronger throat hit than the pilot. Strange thing is the pilot taste different than my 901's do. Not better and not worse but each of my flavors taste different on the pilot. |

Wow - I must have gotten the creme de la creme of pilot batteries here. I use this thing like a pacifier all day. Each battery last atleast 6 hours, and most of the time a little longer! I was a two pack marlboro menthol regular smoker so I need my fix . I've had these for over a month now and have had no issues (i have the original not the hybrid). Honestly, I wouldn't trade my pilot for any 901 that I have ever owned (except for the homemade usb rig I made for the 901). The 901 batteries that I have had are aweful. You get about a hour of good vaping until the vapor starts decreasing. They may last for 3 hours but the vapor output toward the end will be pathetic. I also own the inteliicig evo and I dont see much difference between the evo and pilot (evo batts may last slightly longer - only had it 2 days). As for the battery being overly sensitive, I have only had issues with the whole noise thing (radio in car, bars, ect.). I just shook the hell out of this thing and I doesn't lite up. I have to bang the **** out of it to get it to come on. ProStreet - You really hit the nail on the head about flavor tasting different. Flavors can be very different when going from the 901 to the 401's (401 hotter maybe?). I actually get a little more vapor from the pilot. I guess I have a pilot on steriods . The only ecig device I have that compares is the 901 usb mod with a manual switch.

Two of the batteries got the initial 12 hour charge and the other one only got 2 (was excited hehe). I generally leave a batt on charge while using the other, so the batteries get a 5-6 hour charge. While sleeping I leave 1 on charge all night. I have 3 batteries, but only use two and swap between those. After I typed the original message I figured I would make sure that my figures were correct. So I go through 3 charged batt's per day and am awake from 16 to 18 hours. That is how I come up with this figure. I would say for sure I get 5-6 hours per battery. Again, I use the hell out of these things. Both of my batts are the longer (401) batteries. I have not tested the smaller battery yet. I would say my order would have came from the first shipment of pilots that Steve got in. Maybe I'm just lucky (which is unusual). |

OK nose is bothering me, who sells 901 batteries that last 4.5 hours. I never ever got that from a 901, 2.5 hrs tops and that was when they were brand new. Very quickly they become 1.5 - 2 hrs at the absolute max. |

Keef - let me know if you find one! I will say though, it is hard to beat a 901 hooked up via usb with a manual switch. Now that is a steam engine! Oh and the hit you get will knock your socks off. |

But I don't know if it has a number. But I'm lucky to get 3-4 hours out of it, and it's not with heavy use. I also alternate, every few puffs, with an Njoy NPRO I picked up at a gas station (those batteries aren't any better).

Well I don't recommend the Pilot to anyone. It's a cute little ecig but it doesn't do it for me. I just keep it for a spare or for when I leave the house to use in the car. Changing the carts all the time is a pain too. Too high maintenance for me.
